We have reached an unprecedented period in human history. Many individuals of any class or race in many countries have far more opportunities to improve socioeconomic status than our human ancestors living in these previous land masses or elsewhere on this planet, which can include migrating to a foreign country to live and plan for your future.

Accessing domestically-competitive education from toddler age to your twenties or beyond in your country, making friends and communicating with strangers locally or globally with ease and speed via the internet or mobile devices, creating opportunities to be heard and seen locally or globally, while living a life comfortably cushioned by modern devices without worrying about basic needs such as clean drinking water or sufficient food sources or electricity- The possibilities are almost infinite.

However, too many people in many countries remain deprived of such opportunities as a whole today. This significant divide has to be addressed and rectified. This cannot be properly rectified by platitudes of peace from online influencers nor by formal speeches from authority figures, unless the roots of the problems causing such a divide are sufficiently recognized with enough comprehensive accuracy by many of us as a starting point.

According to the Digital Global Overview 2022 Report, as of January 2022, our world’s population stands at approximately 7.91 billion people {1}. More than 5 billion people own a mobile phone. The equivalent of approximately more than 4.9 billion internet users and more than 4.6 billion social media users, when understood accurately as per the report, gives us valuable insight into discrepancies between global population versus actual numbers of individuals in those categories.

If we were to look at other global sources for statistics related to poverty, malnutrition, and other significant issues? Annual numbers can be interpreted as flabbergasting, especially when you consider resources and wealth indices of our current reality across various countries.

Key to helping everyone have a variety of almost infinite opportunities should be a self-recognized onus on each adult to do our best, to eradicate these problems with intellectual integrity and intellectual humility. Recognizing comprehensive details of problems is vital. Effective communication to understand these problems or attempt to resolve these problems is necessary. Learning to communicate effectively is necessary.

Before such communication can happen, the most crucial stage of this process begins in your head. Critical thinking demonstrated and shared via mediums ensuring uncensored access for everyone is imperative. In this, the internet deserves global protection, to prevent over-reaching censorship due to political bias from authority figures or governmental dictatorship.

Schools should be institutions to preserve the process of inquiry while seeking rich understanding of intellectual integrity and intellectual humility as foundational roots of wisdom. With such a foundation, truth and creativity will flourish while exploring and making errors. You cannot preserve a reliable process for identifying truth nor enable others to interpret complex situations and problems with sufficient context and accuracy, if you only focus on teaching what you think is truth, without teaching others how to realize the importance of thinking with intellectual humility and intellectual integrity.

In order to demonstrate this pressing need for critical thinking as part of the ability to develop effectively nuanced connective communication for any issue, it is necessary for someone between the ages of 16 to 18 to be able to read all five articles on this website, and embrace eight stages of critical thinking mentally and emotionally:

1)  Ask about what you need to know, and do your research

2) Figure out what you want to disprove and/or verify

3) Bridge the gap of initial assumptions combined with gut emotional reactions, to acknowledge emotional reactions for what they are. It is never wise to make important permanent life-changing decisions or complex decisions when fueled by emotional reactions, unless you are trapped in an emergency situation which requires immediate decisions to survive or escape.

4) Pause. A short or lengthier pause saves people from saying or doing something which they need or want to retract later.

5) Become accustomed to aiming for objectivity and normality of being able to identify ignorance, errors and preliminary conclusions for further refinement where applicable

6) Remind in yourself a mental visual of a moral anchor whereby in more than 99% of situations, it is a violation of intellectual integrity and also dishonorable of you to take advantage of emotional vulnerability in others, to make them believe in lies and hence manipulate them into making their decisions based on lies.

7) It is possible for someone to be very meticulously diligent about scrutinizing an issue they are passionate about, and that same someone can be intentionally or unintentionally biased into not doing so for another issue which they are passionate or indifferent about. This is especially true and important to remember, when you read from different media sources or journalists and wonder why a source or journalist can be rigorously detailed about one issue, and biased into unreliability on another issue. Always evaluate reporting by an individual or a media source about an issue.

8) Always verify for yourself, when it pertains to complex issues or a multitude of people involved. This is especially true, if you read any news sources during World War II or after World War II. You are unaware of how news sources or journalists can be severely compromised and hence serve as propaganda channels for certain issues because they will not disclose all this to you, which is the price they have to pay if they are allowed to report from certain places, territories, or countries. Enlighten yourself about necessary history and details, such as the role of Associated Press in World War II as a propaganda arm for Nazi Germany.

Raising self-awareness of the morality in point 6 is vital, especially when you are trying to decide in which direction you wish to take an argument. Extreme situations limited by extreme factors where a person might be forced to violate point 6 can include a negotiator talking to someone so mentally and emotionally unstable that the someone is claiming they want the negotiator to help them decide whether the negotiator reckons they should kill themself or kill all hostages in the same room with them, within the next 2 minutes. And they cannot be talked out of the only two options they have given themself.

Points 7 and 8 are essential to remember when reading media sources or journalists, if you wish to minimize yourself being misled or manipulated. Unintentional errors become inexcusable at a certain point. Propaganda is always unacceptable. Unless you have ample moral justification, propaganda is classified within the category of more than 99% of situations as dishonorable manipulation.

If you’re winning in your aims, your intentions are ethical and noble, and you have nothing to hide, then intentionally resorting to propaganda irreversibly destroys credibility and renders you a source to be dismissed, exposed, and alienated, especially if you are pumping out a significant amount of propaganda which creates or distorts life-or-death situations for other people.

If you are disgusted at the idea and reality of someone manipulating you into making decisions when your emotional state renders you unable to make fair and informed decisions, then do not do so to others. Point 6 is essential to any presented analyses of foreign policy for public consumption, a timelessly necessary journalistic responsibility aspiring to fairness unless you want readers to decide you should not be in a position of disseminating anything worth reading, and invaluable on social media.

If you are evaluating a subject whereby you are not directly impacted immediately nor immediately threatened by people or a situation into having to protect yourself or your loved ones or people you value, you have to make the conscious choice to protect yourself against emotional manipulation. Your feelings are not necessarily reliable facts. It is necessary to acknowledge the intensity of emotions and how easily you can be led by emotions which you should be having in response to what you see or read or hear, before you can adequately handle any feelings these emotions inspire, and hence understand these feelings as a need to ascertain truths in a comprehensive manner before you make decisions which are unfair to someone else.

Using a source as reference depends on the context. Using someone’s work as a source does not equate to endorsing the character or all other viewpoints of that person, unless you specifically make statements pertaining to that angle. A person can be partially right on one topic, and majorly wrong on another topic.

Oversimplification when discussing topics for young adults and beyond is a disservice to yourself and others. Nuances and context are essential. Discrediting people who oppose your arguments with dishonesty is also a disservice to yourself, because it speaks loudest of your values and character as a person. And if you went to school, the school(s) failed you.

An educated intelligent mind which understands intellectual integrity and intellectual humility is triggered with many questions while making unavoidable preliminary conclusions, depending on the issue you are analyzing or reading about. Unavoidable is not irrefutable. You can make several conclusions as preliminary or final, and they do not have to necessarily contradict or correlate to each other. Understanding the importance of some conclusions being related to each other and hence altered accordingly, is as vital as understanding that some conclusions are not relevant to each other and hence do not need to be altered.

Do you remember Article 1, with regards to several paragraphs of questions which I asked you to consider? How do you evaluate yourself to be effective in communication? How do you consider yourself to be educated and intelligent and principled, confident enough not to be misled? Have you started to realize what it means to be a teacher and student and the importance of a globally-competitive education requiring a reliable moral compass to bolster critical thinking, in our modern age?

Please remember our emotions are crucial to the processes of effective communication and education. Mature emotional intelligence necessitates knowing how to handle our emotions. It is vital to allow yourself to feel emotions. And just as importantly, decide how you will handle these emotions in words and actions, without losing the joy and curiosity of what you love as a child.

Schools are supposed to provide the foundations for a reliable education, to help develop individuality while productively contributing to society. However, schools do not necessarily enable you to be truly educated. To be truly educated is to want to learn about the complexities of life, while learning to develop compassion alongside firmness. How do you decide what is effective learning and how to develop effective communication skills, as you progress through life?

Here is the lesson for Article 2: As a person, I do not know everything. However, I am open to the possibility that because of my ignorance on a subject, I may not yet realize the importance of a lesson that has to be learned regionally or globally, and I am unaware of how this lack of awareness significantly impacts my life and my choices.

I now make the following claim: At least two of several major factors contributing to antisemitism today impacts 99% of the lives and choices of the current global population every day, and this 99% includes you.

Perhaps you live in one of more than 50 countries within Africa, Southeast Asia, South Asia, or Central Asia. You could be from Laos or Thailand or Djibouti, and understandably scoff at what I have just said.

Article 2 will help you start to realize how we are connected in what we remain unaware about, and Article 5 will start to help you understand the depth and extent of my claim.

In this article, enabling you to walk yourself through two exercises will help you understand what I am referring to. The first exercise pertains to reading about a foreign politician in a media source, such as Malaysian politician Anwar Ibrahim as reported by BBC.

Anwar Ibrahim has been in Malaysian politics for decades and responsible for specific ministries during certain years in government when Barisan Nasional was the ruling government for decades, was sent to jail twice on sodomy charges, and his story at times is tragic or triumphant depending on the details you are reading.

In 2018 for the 14th general election of Malaysia, certain opposition parties constituting the Pakatan Harapan coalition in Malaysia made unforgettable history in winning the federal election and coming into power for the first time, displacing Barisan Nasional and its allies to form the federal government. Anwar Ibrahim is President and a founder of the opposition party Parti Keadilan Rakyat (translated as “People’s Justice Party” in English and usually shortened to “PKR”), viewed as a symbol of freedom and more by his supporters, and labelled by supporters as a prime-minister-in-waiting {2}.

In February 2020, Prime Minister Mahathir resigned during a chain of events. The fledgling government collapsed. In September 2020, BBC published an article titled “Anwar Ibrahim: A long-held dream to lead Malaysia” {3}.

If you read about Anwar Ibrahim in a majority of news articles published by media sources from Western Europe or the two biggest countries in North America before 2019, what you gather will likely render you completely sympathetic to his thwarted dream. His ardent Malaysian supporters claim he deserves to be prime minister.

Here is the unavoidable question: Do you think he has the qualities to be a capable prime minister of Malaysia? What information would you seek before you make any decisions on this subject, while remembering an opinion formed because of what you have read on sources such as BBC?

You might live in Europe, somewhere in the Middle East, North America, maybe East Asia, but you have never lived in Malaysia. Acutely aware you are clueless about culture or domestic politics or history of that country, you do not know what to use as a reference starting point or what to look for, to answer such a question.

Do you think a prime minister of a country needs to be able to demonstrate capable leadership? How do you measure the qualities of someone, to determine whether you think they are qualified for such a role? You might think of evaluating his character as a person, character and leadership qualities as a founder and leader of a political party, and search for decisions and actions during the time he was part of UMNO and in government, as well as decisions and actions when Pakatan Harapan was the recent federal government for less than 2 years.

A Google image search takes you to the cover of Time Magazine from 6 October 1997, with “Anwar And the Future of Asia” boldly proclaimed across the front alongside his defiant profile. On 16 May 2018, Deutsche Welle published an article featuring his thoughts on certain events, titled “Malaysia’s Anwar Ibrahim: from prisoner to prime minister-in-waiting” {4}.

Do these articles give you any details or sufficient details to make a solid decision? The obvious answer is No. What about local media sources in Malaysia? What are the stances of each media source, when they publish anything about him? Are they biased in any way, and if so, what do you need to look out for? You might Google Wikipedia, to get a general idea.

His daughter Nurul Izzah Anwar helped him with the establishment of his political party, and has also served in politics for two constituencies during different time periods, representing them as a Member of Parliament.

How has Anwar handled the political party he founded? How has he handled disputes or people he does not like? How does he behave, in general and towards issues which need a definite stance? What do you want to know, to evaluate his character? What has he done for his constituency of Port Dickson, representing them as a Member of Parliament in the Dewan Rakyat? What has he done to help ordinary Malaysians, while Pakatan Harapan was the federal government?

Malaysia Now published an article on 5 October 2020, a less-than-complimentary article summarizing detailed opinion pieces from Nikkei Asian Review and The Economist {5}. The writers of both opinion pieces criticized Anwar Ibrahim and used words such as “naked power grab”. You read both articles, and you are none the wiser as to whether it was a power grab or not. More digging is needed.

What about cronyism or nepotism? An article published on 18 December 2018 in South China Morning Post described Nurul Izzah Anwar resigning from her party roles of Vice-President and Penang State chief. Perhaps you do not understand what is meant in the article about her resignations supposedly due to claims of nepotism and preferential treatment, as mentioned by political science professor Awang Azman Awang Pawi from University of Malaya. What is this, about alleged biased appointment of state party leaders by Anwar Ibrahim? From the article, you learn of two factions within PKR, one led by Rafizi Ramli and the other led by Azmin Ali, both supposedly aiming to dominate the central leadership council of PKR. Who are they, and what are Anwar Ibrahim’s stances relative to them?

You might want to know why the SCMP article includes this statement {6}:

[ Observers and party insiders believe Anwar has been backing Rafizi’s supporters to ensure Rafizi will be put forth for a leadership position within the party, a claim that prompted PKR central committee member Latheefa Koya to criticise “nepotism and cronyism” within the party.” ]

You read the entire article, and you realize you know nothing about the people, politics or events mentioned. More digging within English language sources of Malaysian media unearths Latheefa Koya’s exact criticisms about the appointment of PKR state party leaders in December 2018, and why this is “anathema to a reform party”. Excluding the federal territories of East Malaysia, Peninsular Malaysia has 11 states.

Latheefa Koya claims the state head chiefs appointed for PKR are mainly aligned with one faction within PKR, excluding chiefs in the federal territories. Malaysiakini published her claims, such as claims about candidates for state head chiefs in 2 states not having majority support from party division chiefs but after the party’s division chiefs from those states were summoned by PKR’s president who is Anwar Ibrahim, they shifted their votes. She also claims PKR’s president chose candidates who did not win majority votes in another 3 states of Negri Sembilan and Selangor and Johor, and these candidates were aligned to that same faction despite the majority of state division chiefs officially giving support to other candidates.

“I have copies of written memoranda of the state division chiefs supporting candidates who were inexplicably not appointed. While the president is given the power to choose the respective state chief in consultation with the division chiefs, it is highly unusual and contrary to the spirit of the party constitution for the president to ignore the majority preference,” claimed Latheefa Koya {7}.

Are her criticisms accurate? Does she have ulterior motives? What can you deduce about her, if you look at her career, statements, and record of work? For speaking out in this manner, specific members of PKR filed a disciplinary report against her {8}. The article from Malaysiakini states she is aligned to Azmin Ali, but does not reference how the article came to such a conclusion {9}. Compare the tone and reporting of details, and differences in reporting, of the journalist writing for Malaysiakini versus the journalist of the New Straits Times.

A Member of Parliament representing Pasir Gudang who is also a PKR member turned down his appointment as state head chief for the state of Johor, because he claimed the selection process was not transparent {10}.

Who is Azmin Ali? He has worked with Anwar Ibrahim since 1987 and remained loyal to Anwar Ibrahim, when the latter was fired by Malaysia’s Mahathir Mohamad {11}. Anwar was sentenced to six years of jail for corruption in 1999, then sentenced to 9 years of jail for sodomy in 2000, and the charges have been deemed as politically motivated in cases rife with inconsistencies and loopholes {12}{13}.

Alongside Anwar Ibrahim, Azmin is also a founder of PKR. He became chief Minister of Selangor, and has spoken of his gratitude towards Anwar Ibrahim in 2012 while crediting the latter for teaching him and moulding his character.

PKR vice-president Tian Chua praised Azmin Ali for being a doer and vital to keeping PKR together when Anwar was first sent to jail. Vice Chairman of Selangor DAP praised Azmin for being cool-headed and capable.

On 11 June 2019, a video was released on Whatsapp and sent to party members. Journalists were also allegedly added to Whatsapp groups, and this video was uploaded to those groups. The video supposedly showed two men having intercourse in a hotel bed, with faces blurred out.

PKR youth leader Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz posted a filmed confession to Facebook on 12 June 2019, labelling his video as a sworn confession {14}. He claimed to be one of two men in the video, and he alleged Azmin Ali was the other man with him. Being labelled publicly as having committed homosexual acts can result in legal consequences in Malaysia. His statement and video might not have resulted in reactions he might have been hoping for, if netizens’ reactions are anything to go by {15}.

Azmin Ali decried the entire matter as gutter politics, labelled this as vicious libel and denounced this attempt to destroy his political career and smear his reputation {16}. Anwar Ibrahim’s statements on this matter in July 2019 resulted in an uproar within PKR. 27 PKR Central Committee members and Members of Parliament released a statement, strongly criticising the PKR President, while also reminding him that Azmin Ali had defended Anwar and Anwar’s family against the same gutter politics for more than 20 years {17}.

As of end-June 2019, the lack of disciplinary action by PKR against PKR Youth leader Haziz Aziq was noticed by political analyst Azmi Hassan of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia {18}. He pointed out the possibility of the public viewing this matter as being sanctioned by an influential group within PKR or being sanctioned by the party.

The 14th formal PKR Congress commencing on 8 December 2019 in Malacca might be embarrassing to anyone who proudly tells others about PKR as a party to join {19}. Brawls, walk-outs, unprofessional provocative speeches by the PKR President and his supporters- The focus on Anwar Ibrahim becoming the next prime minister was one of many issues during this congress {20}.

What plans has Anwar Ibrahim suggested for the people of Malaysia? If he had or has plans to benefit the populace, why do opinion pieces have to suggest he look at Malay-diverse households in Lembah Pantai which do not seem to have progressed from the mid-1970s when Anwar Ibrahim was teaching at Yayasan Anda in the 1970s, the writer wishing Anwar Ibrahim could design a model to lift the urban poor of this area and hence truly help his supporters {21}? English-speaking Malaysian media sources have no trouble publishing whatever he claims, so where are the signs of any plans from Anwar Ibrahim?

There is plenty of criticism regarding Anwar Ibrahim’s flaws and behavior for his choices in politics, if you know where to look {22}. These criticisms are new only to those who have not been paying attention to Malaysian politics and also ignorant of Malaysian politics, and especially if you do not understand Bahasa Melayu.

Azmin Ali has been criticized and derided, for this role in the Sheraton move which led to the downfall of the Pakatan Harapan government. However, Anwar Ibrahim had publicly made his hostility and intentions towards Azmin Ali very obvious despite Tian Chua’s advice, which also provided Malaysian newspapers with plenty of fodder to publish. Anyone on the receiving end of obvious hostility including clear aims of personal humiliation cannot avoid the conclusion that they are classified as an enemy.

Why should Azmin Ali wait for Anwar Ibrahim to become Prime Minister and officially make choices hostile to his political career and as a whole for his future, when Anwar Ibrahim was supposed to take over from Mahathir Mohamed at some point? This unavoidable context does not justify the Sheraton move, but it makes someone’s choices for political survival understandable, even if those choices can be derided as evil and cruel towards a fledgling government bringing in much-needed change being sadly brought down before its time.

To be fair, look at the mistakes of Anwar Ibrahim, also evaluate his achievements, and assess whether his achievements balance out or exceed mistakes. Depending on the issue and context, some achievements can never make up for certain mistakes. In the first article of the five articles on Ax Accords, one of Anwar Ibrahim’s mistakes when he was Minister of Education for Malaysia has been presented, and you can surmise for yourself how it has affected Malaysia as a whole and for future generations.

“Does Anwar Ibrahim deserve to be prime minister” is a question which is already flawed in conception. The position of prime minister is not a monarchy. The hierarchy of a monarchy operates within a fixed system of rules to designate positions upon a specific individual who already possesses certain criteria. The criteria and process of electing people to enter a Parliament so as to result in one of these politicians becoming a prime minister is completely different.

The tragic historical circumstances of a high likelihood in being unfairly wronged and politically framed, to result in being unjustly imprisoned for an unreasonable length of too many years by political foes, does not entitle Anwar Ibrahim to the position of prime minister. Tragic personal circumstances do not translate into moral entitlement toward a position which affects the lives, direction, and future of an entire country.

If the question is continuously put forth in such a manner, then Anwar Ibrahim should be judged by his record as a leader, including his flaws and his faults. If you are not a fan of Anwar Ibrahim and you are also not biased against Anwar Ibrahim, you will be in a more objective position than his supporters to judge whether he is prime minister material. You can admire someone. You can respect someone. Both positions do not necessarily render you a fan of someone. If that someone has displayed a pattern of words and actions which you have carefully analyzed and taken note of and hence results in no respect or admiration from you, your reaction is understandable.

One should be careful, when making a choice to accord significant respect. Whenever you meet or interact with a stranger in most situations, many of you accord that person basic civility and basic respect as a person, as long as they do not do something which disrupts a basic benefit you have automatically accorded to a stranger as someone being part of the same societal fabric with basic respect for human life and societal values.

You can dislike someone yet respect them. When you do not respect someone, you will not like them. These two distinctions are important to remember. Understanding these distinctions will enable you to make decisions and judgements without being misled by your emotions or feelings, as you engage your thought processes when you have to evaluate complex situations.

Recommended reading to answer this question will include the Kajang move, how Anwar Ibrahim has handled his party PKR after being released from prison and pardoned by the Agong, and choices plus words from him up until the month of April 2022 as reported by Malaysian media, after Pakatan Harapan was no longer the federal government and the opposition also consistently loses state elections. Study the tactics and words of Anwar Ibrahim, as a leader of the Pakatan Harapan coalition. Are his choices beneficial for his party or his allies or any voters who back him, or do such choices backfire upon his partners?

Malaysian politics can be revoltingly trashy in terms of smear tactics, racist, and constantly derogatory towards minorities. Find the examples for yourself.

What I have summarized above is a tiny, shallow, but significant window, to help anyone start exploring the question raised by many supporters of Anwar Ibrahim about him being deserving of the position of prime minister for Malaysia. What I consider to be shallow and tiny and easy for me to summarize, many of you might struggle to easily reach this summary. I am not a fan of telling people what to believe, and my stance for complex matters is to encourage you to do your own research in a reliably consistent manner exploring various angles. You need to do your own research.

After embarking on further explorations, do you think Anwar Ibrahim has the qualities to be a prime minister? It is important to remember this undeniable fact of reality, while doing your research about people in politics:

Always classifying what you want to believe as “good” and what you do not want to believe as “bad” is oversimplistic and detrimental for anybody entering adulthood, and this naively harmful method of evaluating our world should remain only in the realm of reading toddler bedtime stories to little kids or children with special needs.

If you bring this approach into fields of geopolitics and politics and media, your naivety will be easily weaponized for manipulation by forces which you are ignorant about. There are daily situations where nobody involved can be classified as only good or bad, but how they should be evaluated requires careful analysis towards patterns of their goals and words and actions, extent of any repercussions of their goals or words or actions, and whether any repercussions can be sufficiently substantiated or justified.

If one were to reasonably help many teenagers explore and have a decent understanding about the complexity of humans and this world, recommended compulsory reading in schools by the age of seventeen could involve Frank Herbert’s Dune Novels, “How Diplomats Make War” by Francis Neilsen in 1915, and F.A Hayek’s 1974 Nobel Prize-winning lecture about “Pretense of Knowledge”. Couple all that reading material with a compulsory school project by the same age of seventeen, which requires finding declassified papers by your country’s government disproving previous reporting by a media source of your country.

As a bonus to further hone your critical thinking skills, you can search for an inspirational speech within the realms of international diplomacy, imagine yourself as a speaker to students, and test yourself in terms of writing a speech with examples to share, while representing your country. One example could be the speech given by India’s vice-president Venkaiah Naidu to the 2018 batch of Officer Trainees for the Indian Foreign Service in New Delhi on 28 May 2019 {23}.

If homeschooled, it is still possible to write in-depth incisive essays investigating personal tragedies of Paul Atreides, Alia Atreides, Irulan Corrino, and other individuals in the Dune novels whose societies, families, imperial hierarchy, problems and personal circumstances led to the choices they made or what they were left to face, while taking into account if and how their characters shaped these choices and vice versa. Leto II Atreides is possibly the most difficult character to dissect. Any movies of Dune are insufficient to convey the extent of details which you need to absorb, to be able to do an excellent dissertation of the characters. The recent 2021 movie adaptation is an excellent tribute to Frank Herbert’s Dune but also a reminder to always look to source material, if you truly want to grasp something comprehensively and in-depth.

These reading materials and suggested exercises will hone many important skills including ethics, problem-solving, and ability to question, which can be used in any field. Schools should be institutions with a basic responsibility to protect processes of inquiry while preparing you for a globally-complex world and imparting knowledge for several subjects of study, inspiring students to seek truth and accuracy and professionalism.

Essential basic modern reading skills and communication skills require an individual to properly understand and carefully use the words “information”, “educate”, “propaganda”, “facts” and “news”, if you have been reading anything since the 1960s. News is a presentation of information. You need to carefully ascertain whether the information you are digesting can be classified as facts with accurate context and nuancing, errors, half-truths, or propaganda. Intentional errors, intentional half-truths and propaganda is disinformation. Misinformation is unintentional. Unintentional errors if corrected is not misinformation. If you want to fairly educate someone, giving them disinformation is awful. Being misinformed and sharing misinformation will mislead others.

You do not need to be an expert on the history, culture and politics of a country to make preliminary reliable conclusions. You simply need to eat humble pie, ask many questions, be open to making errors and correcting them, remember the above about information, and give yourself time to try to understand accurate details with primary nuance and context. Remember not to confuse information for facts, if you have not done any necessary verification on context and accuracy.

This first step is not simple for many people, because many people lack sufficient intellectual humility which makes it difficult to admit to yourself or to others along the lines of “I am ignorant. I need to find out. I need to ask questions.” And sadly, many people who do not know enough (but assume they know better or are morally superior) do not have sufficient intellectual humility, hence they do not welcome such an approach to fairness and understanding, with the end result of shutting down questions or verbally attacking people who rightfully have questions.

If you have not yet realized what you need to overcome the barriers within yourself which obstructs or cripples our ability to communicate, this article requires you to recognize what we each need to overcome, to connect to each other.

The second exercise is significantly more complex than the first exercise and definitely poses a much-stronger emotional challenge for anyone who engages in it. However, it is essential to helping many people awaken from your state of continual intellectual laziness and vulnerability to emotional manipulation, which you have not realized. As of 20 June 2022, unless you choose to avoid news online and offline? You are aware of an ongoing tragedy involving Ukraine and Russia having continued beyond 110 days. Where are you going to start?

It is normal to have a reaction of wanting to condemn a country which starts a war or invades another country, as reported by media. It is also normal to want to help people whose country is being invaded. If you look at the history of wars and genocides, humans have a horrible track record of stupidity and selfishness and disregard for those we choose to render as “others” to be subjugated or exterminated. The Rape of Nanking. World War II. The Holocaust.

Do you know about the Cambodian Civil War, and the Killing Fields? Are you aware of Vietnam invading Cambodia in 1978, to stop a genocide, get rid of Pol Pot and instill a government friendly to Vietnam {24}? Pol Pot had already exterminated at least 2 million Cambodians which was approximately one-quarter of Cambodia’s population, and the cross-border raids into Vietnam wreaking death and destruction provoked a necessary response {25}. China was also part of the equation which Vietnam had to consider, due to geography and geopolitics.

Are Vietnamese aware of the negative memories they can easily trigger in Cambodians who understandably did not welcome them because of history between Vietnam and Cambodia, and their military incursion into Cambodia would naturally and unavoidably backfire if they did not have a plan for respecting the future aspirations of Cambodians while balancing their own national security interests? Given how Vietnamese perceive China because of their own history of fighting off colonialists and invaders as an essential component of Vietnamese history, can they understand how Cambodians view Vietnamese in Cambodian history?

1978 was a terrible time for Cambodians under Pol Pot. Did any countries move to help Cambodians stop the Khmer Rouge? Vietnam’s government of the time helped end the Khmer Rouge while wanting to achieve their own goals, and wanting to achieve their own goals was also a primary inspiration. If you want to do a “one-side bad one-side good” oversimplification of reality, you will be overwhelmed and unable to handle the history and geopolitics of countries in Southeast Asia.

Can I claim Ukraine under Ukraine’s governments after 1991 has any similarity to Cambodia under Pol Pot? Can someone claim Taiwan must take lessons from Ukraine, because what Russia does to Ukraine is what China might do to Taiwan? Before we can feasibly make any of those claims, we need to understand what has been happening in Ukraine as a whole and also in Eastern Ukraine since 1991, when the Soviet Union was dissolved and Ukraine officially became an independent entity.

Sadly, there are many gaps in Cambodian history today. Historians hope to find what they need for illumination, in archives which are not yet accessible. What are the gaps in the history of Ukraine, since its official inception after the dissolution of the Soviet Union? What do you need to find?

Did you study World War II? USA and UK would have been key players and central to that war, if you look at details in textbooks within their country or sovereign state respectively. Did you study the history of World War II from the position of a non-Western country, such as India? The viewpoints of India regarding World War II are likely to be significantly different from USA or any other key players in the war, depending on which entity you may be inquiring about, from India’s historical and current viewpoints.

History and the present have collided to create a tragedy. Headlines about the invasion of Ukraine are sensational and heartrending. 3 June 2022 marks 100 days of a monumental military tragedy between Russia and Ukraine. Russia’s government labels their actions as a special military operation. Ukraine and other countries of Western Europe and North America report on Russia waging a war against Ukraine.

It is understandable, to be sad about the amount of displacement and damage and death which was happening and will ensue. Millions of Ukrainians are refugees, losing their homes. Russians face economic sanctions, cancellations, and attempted isolation by Western Europe and the biggest countries of North America. The effects of this tragedy will also be felt in other aspects within other countries.

However, you should also have a lot of questions. Which people or what circumstances are responsible for this mess? This tragedy involving Russia & Ukraine has exposed how people can enjoy deaths, casualties, boycotts and/or displacements affecting either side, while revealing certain qualities about themselves on social media. To me, what has transpired and will transpire is horrible for many innocent people inevitably affected by the situation, while simultaneously illustrating how education is both a moral failure and a fundamental failure to teach critical thinking and essential reading skills in too many countries.

Innocent Ukrainians fleeing Ukraine need help. To truly help this situation and innocent Ukrainians, we need to be fair. This includes avoiding automatic mental laziness and being circumspect with language, because what we say affects how we think and vice versa. It is not primarily or solely about Ukrainians fighting Russians. Whether you choose to label this set of circumstances as a war or military conflict, it should be summarized as primarily Zelensky’s government against Putin’s government, and going back further in history is primarily a clash of governments, not a clash of citizens. Governments are supposed to be official representations of their country, but do not necessarily represent their citizens or certain issues or goals.

This distinction is essential, to prevent and minimize xenophobia.

If you know nothing about Russia or Ukraine, ignorance does not mean you cannot have a somewhat reliable opinion. On this specific tragedy which has resulted in bloodshed and worse since Zelensky and Putin made their respective speeches one night in late February 2022, more than 99% of today’s current global population is insufficiently informed about all the necessary angles to consider and hence to varying extents, ignorant.

Ignorance and being insufficiently informed is a responsibility for you to research, learn and recognize a fundamental responsibility to be fair, which requires adhering to intellectual humility and intellectual integrity. This will require you to explore various angles and if you have the tenacity, to browse through more than 100 articles from various types of sources while carefully evaluating social media, even as you formulate questions. Articles from media usually have word limits. Much reading encompassing papers or letters is also necessary, especially declassified papers from various governments in history. Questions are necessary, including becoming aware of personal bias.

What do I believe? What do I want to believe? How do I decide whether facts in reality will confirm or disprove what I believe? Do I understand words such as “propaganda”, “information” and “facts”, which has been frequently utilized in the media and Russia and Ukraine and USA, each party accusing another party of falsehoods? What conditions and quality of life exist in Ukraine? What is the state of politics, quality of free press, freedom of speech, and extent of corruption in Ukraine, if any? What is the economy of Ukraine, prior to this war? Do any of those details or any people in those details have any impact on a Ukrainian President being chosen? What are the conditions and quality of life in Russia? What is the state of politics, quality of free press, freedom of speech and extent of corruption in Russia, if any? Do any of those details or any people in those details have any impact on how Putin’s government makes decisions? What has been the historical and contemporary culture of expressed ideas among post-Soviet Ukraine’s intellectuals in Eastern Ukraine or Western Ukraine, when the topics of Russia or Ukraine relative to Donbass are contemplated? Are there foreign entities whose words and actions within Ukraine or Russia undermine the national interests of Ukraine or Russia? Are there local entities whose words and actions within Ukraine or Russia undermine the national interests of Ukraine or Russia? Are there any foreign entities whose actions within USA mislead people in Congress? Are there Americans whose actions within USA mislead people in Congress? What triggered this decision by Putin’s government to attack Ukraine? What criteria do you need to use, to decide whether this invasion is justified or not? What are the official positions of Putin’s government and Zelensky’s government? What language does each government use, to frame their positions about this clash between their governments, and why? What are the official statements from these governments? What is relevant essential history which must be acknowledged here? Is propaganda at work and if so, to what extent are any sides or sources using propaganda? In every media source I read, is the media source being accurate and responsible, without resorting to propaganda or accidentally sharing misinformation? Is anybody being misinformed, especially Putin or Zelensky?

An emotional reaction upon seeing headlines is unavoidable, but I also have many questions whenever I read headlines, and the above lengthy paragraph contains less than half of those essential questions. I must proceed with skepticism and caution, anchored by intellectual humility and intellectual integrity, for the sake of all fellow humans because much of the media articles on Google or DuckDuckGo or any other search engines about this mess, not in Russian or Ukrainian, will be dependent on media from Canada or USA or Western Europe if written in English.

Skepticism and caution are justified when making conclusions, if you are aware of certain details and the history of the media regarding certain countries. Prior to an important Senate vote on 12 January 1991 as to whether to authorize US military force in Iraq, a fifteen-year-old Nayirah Al-Sabah spoke in Congress about Iraqi soldiers removing 312 babies from incubators and leaving them to die on the hospital floor of Al Adan {26}. Unknown to many Congress members, she was a daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador to USA. Her testimony was eventually proven to be false, the untrue narrative debunked two years later.

Sensational claims of Muammar Qaddafi supplying Viagra to his soldiers to commit mass rapes makes for arresting headlines, but what are the facts {27}? Can independent researchers or journalists corroborate or debunk this claim {28}? Looking at declassified papers, court-subpoenaed documents and backdated official correspondence, what do they reveal about Qaddafi and Libya in 2011 {29}?

What happened in Iraq and Libya has made it essential for you to realize how easily you can be manipulated and misled. On hindsight, you can now easily find for yourself the fiasco regarding widespread media reporting about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. What about the situation of the Taliban taking over most of Afghanistan in July and August 2021? Amongst many embarrassments on the part of the current administration under Joe Biden with regards to withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Taliban gave his administration until 31 August 2021 to complete all evacuations.

How many Americans had been evacuated, as of specific dates? How many Americans were still in Afghanistan, as of certain dates in question? How many Afghans who had helped American forces and were at risk of being killed by the Taliban were on these flights?

As of Thursday morning on 19 August 2021, standing alongside Major General Hank Taylor, Press Secretary for the Defense Department John Kirby confirmed 7000 people had been evacuated via US government flights since 14 August 2021, admits not knowing how many Americans are still in Afghanistan, claims the State Department would be the better place for estimates, and USA military would not know {30}. The entire transcript is engaging, such as how Hank Taylor chooses to respond to a female reporter’s query about 13 C-17s being able to remove 5000 people in 24 hours, but only 2000 people have been evacuated as of that specific timeframe {31}.

At 13:00 in the briefing on 19 August 2021, John Kirby confirmed only 2000 people had been evacuated in 24 hours, but could not give a breakdown of Americans and Special-Immigration-Visa status applicants.

According to POTUS Joe Biden in an exclusive interview with George Stephanopoulos of ABC News on 18 August 2021, 10000 to 15000 Americans were still in Afghanistan, while 50,000 to 65,000 Afghans including their families who helped USA were also still in Afghanistan {32}.

Getting to the airport was dangerous enough to be life-threatening, attempting to get through the airport and via special lanes to the planes was also dangerous, and the glaring issue of John Kirby being unwilling to answer if the Taliban was classified as an enemy of the USA military was dwarfed by the sheer enormity of issues facing those who needed to be urgently evacuated {33}. Mothers were throwing their babies over barb wire at UK troops or trying to push their children at US troops, and experiences brought troops in such scenarios to tears {34}.

David Marshall Fox moved to Afghanistan in 2013, and he wanted the New York Post to share with his fellow citizens how frustrating and dangerous the trip to Kabul airport could be {35}. “For me to be 10 feet from US Marines with my 3-year-old son, with my US passport and not being able to get through — that’s problematic,” said the American, who did not want to risk his son being shot by the Taliban or trampled at the airport. Which other news outlets shared many personal stories of the dangers faced by Americans and Afghans who helped US military forces?

The claims of US Intelligence about Afghanistan’s government and Kabul will go down in history as notably and horrendously wrong. Initial assessments claimed the Afghan government under Ghani could survive for 2 years after withdrawal of US forces, which then became revised to the Taliban taking Kabul within 6 to 12 months of US forces withdrawing, while other western countries estimated 3 months, and all this was published by the Wall Street Journal. Such news was also shared internationally by sources such as Hindustan Times on 24 June 2021 {36}.

On 11 August 2021 as reported by Reuters, US Intelligence again revised its claims, now predicting Kabul being isolated within 30 days and falling to the Taliban within 90 days {37}. Kabul fell on 15 August, and the failure of US Intelligence along with all other factors was noted in a highly-summarised short analysis {38}. How do Afghan War Veterans feel about this botched withdrawal? When you look at June {39}, July {40}, and August 2021 in terms of claims from John Kirby and other staffers of the current administration about the withdrawal in Afghanistan, and what was carried out by US forces when withdrawing from Afghanistan, what can you deduce?

On 2 February 2022, Axios published an article titled “Scoop: Leaked document reveals Biden’s Afghan failures” and references notes from a White House briefing on 14 August 2021, which translates into Afghanistan’s time zone of hours before Kabul fell to the Taliban {41}. The notes reveal many details about this administration’s handling of the situation at that time.

If you look at the details of the article and cannot decide whether this administration was incredibly unprepared, how about the cluelessness of United States Agency for Internal Development Samantha Power, when she was bombarded with issues affecting tens of thousands of USAID employees due to the process of this withdrawal {42}? What help did contractors get, to answer their Afghan staff on the ground? What help did other foreign staff get, especially those stranded in another country such as Dubai {43}?

7 billion dollars of Afghan assets in USA were frozen, when Ghani’s government collapsed in August 2021. To add insult to grave injury, the current administration signed an order on Friday 11 February 2022, supposedly allocating 3.5 billion dollars to humanitarian aid projects in Afghanistan while designating the other half to victims of 11 September 2001 in USA and their families. How is this administration going to ensure the money going to humanitarian projects does not fall into the coffers of the Taliban?

Afghan woman Nadia Ghulam isn’t happy about the people of her country being robbed, and has rather strong words for a decision whereby she reckons the money will never reach her people who are dying of starvation or worse {44}. The Taliban does not deserve the money. And why should Afghan people be punished, when the terrorists in 9/11 were not Afghans {45}?

Iraq and Afghanistan should be an indelible stain on the conscience of US foreign policy, but that only applies if the elites who make decisions have a conscience. This almost-complete disregard for the lives and welfare and futures of many citizens, whose countries have been severely affected by US foreign policy, becomes the responsibility of the American public because we need you to tackle your domestic problems within this upcoming decade, become sufficiently informed, and choose to elect people who will stop continuing or creating disastrous policies which have generated significant justified negativity within civilians outside Western Europe and the two biggest countries in North America, towards USA foreign policy.

In any tragedy, if you do not understand any of the main characters involved or current circumstances involved, and you are not yet certain who else may be primarily involved, then acknowledge you know nothing and you have to start from ground zero.

On this issue of recent tragedy involving Russia and Ukraine, I am impartial. I cannot be bought, coerced or blackmailed. Those who are dearest to me are citizens of more than three small countries across certain regions, a small country classified here as having a population of less than 35 million people. To be fair to Ukrainians and Russians is essential, to create a fair solution for peace. This article is primarily aimed at helping people living outside Western Europe, USA and Canada, to understand how to evaluate complex issues using an anchor of intellectual integrity and intellectual humility, because the ignorant approaches of too many people from certain regions cannot be overlooked and cannot be condoned.

Should you question my biases, I have no vested interests and no conflict of interests in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, North America or Latin America. My primary interests aim for fair treatment of smaller or less-developed countries in Africa and throughout Asia on the global stage, while wanting to ensure such countries can also fairly safeguard their national security needs without being bullied by any superpowers. I also have no vested interests in China or Taiwan, I am not from China or Taiwan, and I have no conflicts of interests pertaining to China or Taiwan. I am also not from Iran nor from India nor from Pakistan, so any potential accusations toward me of belonging to any specific axis for the West or against the West has no legs.

If your brain is not asking a minimum of all the questions pointed out above in the longest paragraph of this article, then you need to question the quality of any tertiary education you received (if you went through tertiary education, or are doing so). A lazy or poorly-exercised brain does not raise questions nor immediately resort to caution about what you read as news. Knowing how to ask questions does not require going through special classes. All you need to start learning is one person who understands the vital importance of developing necessary inquiry processes, upheld with intellectual humility and intellectual integrity, and willing to share this exercise with the world for the sake of our future generations.

If you are a journalist and you are not asking these questions before you write articles, please identify yourself so I will instantly know never to rely on your work, instead of having to squander time evaluating your work but still being able to obtain that conclusion for myself.

One mistake typically made by professors or military professionals, who deem themselves as experts or are deemed by others as experts on a topic, is the inability to recognize that their knowledge base and experience base is rich in specific angles but is not sufficiently comprehensive nor sufficiently relevant to answer all the criteria required to reach a properly-informed or fair opinion, depending on what area or angle a question pertains to outside their specific professional field of interest. On this topic of Ukraine and Russia, too many have a tendency to fail at Point 7 of the seven stages of critical thinking, when it comes to application for evaluating sources outside their specialized field of knowledge.

The larger the knowledge base of a person in a literary field or military field, the greater the onus becomes on that person not to be misled by their ego and to employ critical thinking. Before you start reaching for parallels in history, you have to thoroughly understand our present circumstances.

If you claim to be an expert or pride yourself as being intelligent but could not think of all the questions I have rounded up as an unavoidably necessary starting point of study for the current tragedy involving Russia and Ukraine, please put your ego to one side and start demonstrating how you achieved the cap of “expert” in any field that you are supposed to have merited.

For this issue of Ukraine and Russia, the opinions of anybody who claims to be an expert, or claims authority above normal civilians with regards to the accuracy of their opinions, must be carefully scrutinized. An expert (such as a historian or chemical weapons specialist) whose opinions are wrong on a subject somewhat relevant or completely relevant to their field of expertise yet claims authority greater than normal civilians, is doubly dangerous especially if their circle of influence is more widespread and pervasive.

Much of the world is ignorant about the history of revolutionary ultranationalism in Ukraine, which is essential to this current mess. Here is a short list of relevant questions which must be answered:

1) What is the history of Stepan Bandera, OUN and UPA for Ukraine, and what happened with Nazi Germany?

2) Do ordinary Ukrainians in different parts of Ukraine such as Western Ukraine and Eastern Ukraine know enough about the complex horrible history of Stepan Bandera, OUN and UPA with regards to Nazi Germany? What are Ukrainians taught in school?

3) What is happening in Ukraine’s schools and city councils and government institutions, with regards to how Stepan Bandera, OUN and UPA are perceived?

4) What do children and teenagers in different parts of Ukraine currently believe, about Stepan Bandera and OUN and UPA?

5) Do ordinary Ukrainians and the rest of the world know about World War II history of Ustaša, this Croatian fascist movement having many parallels to Stepan Bandera with OUN and UPA during World War II? One of the many historical parallel traits of Ustaša include revolutionary ultranationalists of this fascist movement passionately exterminating Serbs, Jews and Roma, as part of their goals for creating a pure Croatian state.

Being able to understand the knowledge awareness of Ukrainians about such history is crucial. Being able to understand what is taught in schools throughout parts of Ukraine with regards to Stepan Bandera, OUN, UPA and Nazi Germany is crucial. Being able to accurately understand relevant history for necessary dissemination to the public is crucial. Being able to understand how current events and circumstances may be the result of a heavily-diluted and overly-edited unpleasant history by certain Ukrainians resulting in mass ignorance and correspondingly detrimental choices contributing to Ukraine’s awful reality for minorities is crucial.

Anybody who deems themselves capable of understanding all the above and also deems themselves as professionally competent to be authorities or experts on a subject will need to have a fundamental principle: Facing and accurately dealing with facts which do not fit your beliefs or hypotheses. Knowing and speaking out about these basic crucial necessities are the resp0nsibility of any historians or professors or military experts who want the public to believe them, especially if you want to opine to an audience as to whether Russia’s current government is justified in giving military orders to attack Ukraine under the current government of Ukraine.

“Why should I ask questions? And why so many questions?!” might be your response. Life is usually not simple, and situations are typically more complex than they appear. The greater the number of people involved who can affect a situation, the greater the onus becomes on all people involved to be fair.

If you have an opinion to share on social media which influences and affects others, if you have a business which affects others in this tragedy, and so forth, then you have an onus not to contribute to irresponsible rhetoric, fake news, or escalatory actions which obfuscates or inflames a highly-volatile situation. If your intention is to speak truth and seek a peaceful responsible approach as a solution, weaponizing language or situations for your aims is irresponsible and negligent on your part.

Propaganda in this day and age is abhorrent and needs to be classified as fake news, because modern technology including the internet has the ability to spread truth or misinformation very quickly among the masses, and opinions produced can have almost-immediate consequences for people. Technology has become a tool of war and the likes of Twitter are part of their war efforts, which Ukraine’s 31-year-old Digital Minister declares and shares, in an article by BBC {46}.

Ukraine’s Digital Minister has an understandable stance to want to help his government, and how he uses his social media such as Twitter does not automatically render him unethical, because it depends on what he says and does, and why. If your goals or movements are ethically sound as an activist or person seeking to create necessary positive change, there is no need to resort to disinformation and manipulation of the public’s emotions to get them on your side. Emotional manipulation is one of the worst forms of personal manipulation.

David Betz, professor of war in the modern era at King’s College London, points out Ukraine is filling the internet with fake information, in an article published on 1 March. He says the fake information is being taken apart very quickly on Russian Telegram. This Forbes article by Thomas Brewster attempts to present information from Ukrainians in charge of media and propaganda as well as including Russia in a neutral manner, in his article titled “Ukraine’s Propaganda Offensive, Led By Ad-Tech Entrepreneurs, Appears To Be Winning” {47}.

If fake or wrong information is being taken apart very quickly in Russian on Telegram, what about other languages and communication mediums? Speaking of potential propaganda, do you know of the extensive impressiveness in Ukraine’s information reach? 150 global PR agencies across all continents are willing to help an unnamed founder of a Ukraine-based PR agency, according to PR Newswire {48}.

Are these PR agencies concerned about ensuring they are disseminating factual truths, or information based on misleading propaganda and errors? Which journalists are covering Ukraine’s propaganda efforts? Russian-everything-evil is clearly a running theme and focus of many articles for many journalists in Western Europe and North America, but is this amount and extent of focus on one side fairly-balanced or accurate?

How do we evaluate ethics in this situation? Why should we care about propaganda? Why should propaganda from any sides be universally denounced and officially rejected by the global public, to send a signal to governments who refuse to respect their citizens and use false information to manipulate them?

Lumberjack is an independent student-run magazine since 1929, by Cal Poly Humboldt University in Arcata, California. A short must-read article titled “Sharing is Caring… Unless it’s Propaganda: The Russia-Ukraine Crisis” by Kris Nagel is professional in presenting what the audience needs to consider {49}. Our feelings can be weaponized by anyone without our knowledge, we are influenced by those around us, and it is essential to consider the impact we make in whatever we say or do regarding a piece of news or various situations.

The article claims 50% of Americans get news from social media, and goes on to quote journalist Al Tompkins of Poynter Institute pointing out truth is usually shunted aside by people for our bias and preferences. He also voiced a fact you may not realize:

“Disinformation is a very powerful weapon. The Russians know it but, let’s face it, the Americans know it too. The American government, particularly through the CIA, has done lots of disinformation over the years. You would expect that they do, it’s kind of part of what they do.”

The whole article is a must-read. Are people living in USA aware of the extensive propaganda network built by the CIA, both at home and abroad? Are people living in USA and Americans living outside USA aware that if one were to do research about this tragedy involving Russia and Ukraine, being aware of certain articles from your media sources and being aware of certain declassified papers from your government is essential, if you truly want to be on the truthful side of history and geopolitics?

Before you scoff, are you also aware Twitter has tags labelling media outlets such as RT or Xinhua as “Russia state-affiliated media” or “China state-affiliated media”? I applaud this idea, and all state-affiliated media of all countries should be identified across all social media mediums, which can include CNN, perhaps Washington Post, New York Times, and any other similarly-minded USA media outlets as USA state-affiliated media.

Almost 30 years ago on 22 September 1991, David Ignatius published an article in Washington Post, titled “Innocence Abroad: The New World of Spyless Coups” {50}. Now archived under “Opinions”, this must-read article mentions an important event of what happened behind the scenes, when George Bush was trying to help Boris Yeltsin dismantle the Soviet Union. Allen Weinstein sent a fax boldly suggesting strategies, including the fact that “The Russian government had no ways to address the people”. In the event this article becomes paywalled, it has been screen-capped here {51}. This article was written in a time period when the USA was hailed by certain quarters as the leader of the free world.

Boris Yeltsin’s speech has been archived here {52}. George Bush went on television, after speaking to Boris Yeltsin. In his Washington Post article, David Ignatius points out overt operatives helped Boris Yeltsin succeed, unlike the CIA who privately fund and support pro-democracy groups, aid development of resistance fighters, and undermine communist rule which ultimately leads to their demise.

This article almost 30 years ago also makes a case for covert CIA operatives being irrelevant while referencing certain individuals, mentioning this irrelevancy due to being privatized, and acknowledging this change of particular relevancy for what was once labelled “propaganda” and is now labelled as “information”.

In mid-1950s, Frank Wisner, first chief of the CIA’s covert action staff, once likened his operations to a Mighty Wurlitzer. Was this exaggeration? How much of that bragging is exaggeration, how much is reality, and how much of it is an understatement? David Ignatius spoke of the Mighty Wurlitzer existing today, which he labelled as CNN. These types of operations from the CIA led to books, such as “The Mighty Wurlitzer: How the CIA played America” published by Hugh Wilford in 2009. The reviews of this book on Amazon should be digested before you read the book, specifically the critical review by Tyler on 2 November 2020 {53}.

More than 40 years ago, on 26 December 1977, The New York Times published an article titled “Worldwide Propaganda Network Built By The CIA {54}. In the event this article becomes paywalled, it has been screen-capped here {55}. These 2 articles must be read together by Americans and all non-Americans alongside declassified papers referenced in my summary here, if you want to be able to fairly evaluate claims of the Russian government and claims of the Ukrainian government. It is necessary to note what David Ignatius claimed about the modern operatives, who once worked for “propaganda” but now aim to be described as “information”.

Why would David Ignatius claim Allen Weinstein is the dean of such operatives, when he wrote this article in 1991? It is one thing to point out Weinstein claiming, “The networking phenomenon is one of the things we’ve specialized in”, but it takes a certain amount of gumption and/or evidence for a stranger to claim “Weinstein founded the Center For Democracy in 1984 for his global meddling.” David Ignatius also provides examples, including examples of the CIA meddling within USA and Europe. Secretly funding the National Student Association, secretly subsidizing the Congress For Cultural Freedom and Encounter Magazine- But this no longer has to be covert, supposedly because “A lot of what we do today was done covertly 25 years ago by the CIA,” claims Weinstein.

Allen Weinstein was also a sexual predator who traumatized many women, but it seems he got away with doing so {56}. Why? Where is the justice? He was also a cofounder of the National Endowment For Democracy in 1983, under Ronald Reagan. The National Endowment of Democracy has flourished and to this day, is still globally active. In which countries is the National Endowment of Democracy working within outside USA, what does it fund, and what are the activities?

How vast is this network for perpetuating democracy in accordance with USA objectives? How much of this network currently functions, according to USA objectives? Does this network have any reach in Russia or Ukraine, and what are the activities? Can relevant public information be easily found? Has any information been scrubbed or hidden by the organization itself?

With regards to the CIA, how much of work is sourced to foreign contractors, which are the situations or fields of doing so, and why? Is the CIA truly in control of any foreigners involved with their work? How does the CIA determine if these foreign contractors are reliable and accurate? What aims does the CIA intend to achieve, and why?

Reading “The Devil’s Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America’s Secret Government” by founder of Salon.com David Talbot will provide necessary insight into the CIA and the career of its longest-serving Director, with possibly a minor bonus addition of Allen’s brother Foster Dulles as USA Secretary of State. The Dulles brothers are inspirational, if you are the type who admires their work and achievements and goals.

Before you can admire the work and achievements of someone, you have to know what they do, what they achieve, and their connections where applicable. Self-conducted research is also necessary. Everything I have cited in this article is compulsory reading for USA citizens, if you want to be taken seriously about any views you hold with regards to the greatness of USA government institutions, foreign policy objectives and impact.

Looking again at the work of David Ignatius, he mentions William Miller, George Soros, John Mroz, John Baker, Harriett Crosby- Check out the positions they hold, the organizations they own or run or lead, and how far they can reach. If you’re not a citizen of USA, you might want to throw up or get furious or do something about the ideas and reality of foreigners meddling in your country’s affairs for the goals of a foreign country. What is the extent of interference by any people or organizations involved in this network, when it comes to Ukraine or Russia?

As of the year 2020 and beyond, a sovereign country with a military, moral government, and functioning society of morals comprised of patriotic citizens should not welcome and should reject foreign interference attempting regime change or meddling in geopolitics, to subvert valid national security concerns on home soil. Children of any country should not be involved in wars or propaganda operations, and healing conflicts is essential.

As of March 2022, according to Worldometers, the population of Western Europe constitutes approximately 2.52% of the global population. The population of North America constitutes approximately 4.73% of the global population. If you extrapolate the numbers for people from those regions who now live in other countries outside those regions, will the numbers reach 15% of the global population or less?

If you use Google to find news in the languages of English, French, Spanish, German or any other languages native to Western Europe, how much of the search results in the News category are dominated by media sources from Western Europe and the two biggest countries in North America? When you look at the usage of social media, how do you evaluate the dominance of users from Western Europe and the two biggest countries in North America relative to the rest of the global population, and their impact on online discourse? Do people who live outside these regions expect bias from these media sources on any issues, and why?

Help the refugees from Ukraine. Standing with innocent Ukrainian civilians is an apt sentiment. Hold relevant people responsible. Do not make unfair scapegoats. If you want to hold high people in high places responsible because you yourself are unable to have the authority they wield when they make decisions affecting many people, then you need to identify these people in such places, before anything concrete can be considered.

This cannot happen if you are not willing to ask questions, and you must also ask yourself what goals you want to see as an achievement. Can negotiations be effective? What needs to happen? How do we help to enable peace to happen? What constitutes effective aid? What do you mean by “Stand with Ukraine” or “Stand with Russia”? Can I stand with Ukraine and Russia? What do I mean, if I stand with Ukraine and Russia?

Since Putin’s government made the decision for Russian military to invade Ukraine, Putin’s government has an enormous responsibility to explain and try to justify this decision and their position, before everyone else can decide whether such a choice is justified. The action is condemnable, if I were to make a judgment without knowing anything. However, everyone else also has a responsibility to help end this conflict if you are affected by its repercussions in any way, and the best way to do so is to scrutinize the claims from any side, and seek fundamental comprehensive truth.

Since Zelensky has been feted so admirably by media of Western Europe and North America, do his words and actions match what has been showered upon him?

What is reported about Ukraine to answer my questions is grossly inadequate in what has been reported by media from Western Europe and the two biggest countries in North America about Russia. Depending on the media of a country and region, Russia is viewed differently. With so many shades of grey, it is vital to investigate certain key factors, before certain reliable preliminary decisions can be made.

The morality and intentions of Vladmir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky in this situation have to be intensely scrutinized. Because of the positions they hold, what they choose to say or do will have severe consequences. Detailed analysis of their words and actions should not be diluted by personal bias. It is important not to wrongly villainize someone and distort a situation to deceive the masses. It is also important not to falsify heroes. Villains must be condemned and dealt with. People can be many shades of grey, and there are sometimes no definite heroes or villains. In every alliance, it is important not to join forces with people who lie, cheat, manipulate or ignore the impact of shared responsibilities while willing to sacrifice an entire group for selfish aims.

Therefore, Vladmir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky shall be scrutinized with the same standards, because truly aiding Ukrainians and Russians and people affected by this war depends on a minimal basic understanding of both men. President Volodymyr Zelensky made an emotional appeal to Russians in his speech, on 23 February 2022, incorporating personal attributes of himself {57}. President Vladmir Putin made a nationally-televised speech on Wednesday night of 23 February, laying out his position {58}. What do you notice about each speech?

On 1 March 2022, the Russian Embassy in Canada also released a statement {59}. The statement has some fundamental similarities to Putin’s speech on 23 February. This official government statement describes the actions of invading Ukraine as a “special military operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine”, claim “Ukrainian authorities and its Western patrons are committing monstrous and inhuman provocations”, accuse “Armed Forces of Ukraine, and such neo-Nazi groups as “Azov”, “Right sector” and other neo-Nazi groups” of “crimes against humanity and violations of international humanitarian law”. The statement ends with “Russia is not starting wars. Russia is ending them”.

The statement accuses Kiev of initiating “genocide and an 8-years-long war against its people”, claiming this has been “silently watched and frequently encouraged by the West”. In terms of emotional impact, it is a hard-to-describe compilation of claims.

A significant population of non-Westerners in many countries reside outside Western Europe and North America. We who reside outside of those regions and constitute more than 80% of the global population have a greater responsibility about being objective from more than a geographical perspective, for the sake of our future generations. We should also have a significant voice and greater impact that Western Europe needs to heed, in terms of truly enabling a peaceful and fair solution. If the likes of Olaf Scholz and Emmanuel Macron value objectivity, then they should consider our views which will not ignore the needs of Russia’s neighbors while addressing the current actions of Russia’s government.

These statements from Russia’s officials sound almost preposterous because they come across as extreme claims to someone who has no understanding of Ukraine. More questions surface.

Is the Russian government exaggerating? Is the Russian government putting forth a mixture of truth and lies and if so, what are the proportions? Is the Russian government telling the truth? Depending on which option is factual reality, why?

These statements require tenaciously detailed investigation. Economy. Environment. Is the quality of life in Western Ukraine and Eastern Ukraine equal? Are there divisions or other relevant conflicts within parts of Ukraine? How do I classify the quality of life in Ukraine? Why does the Russian government label this invasion as “special military operation”, not a war? Why claim neo-Nazi groups are committing crimes against humanity? Time to figure out a process for investigation, because the number of angles to examine are dizzying.

One of the first articles surfacing in a Google search of Ukraine’s economy is an article titled “What is Ukraine’s Economic Outlook for 2021” by Anders Åslund, former Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council {60}. What can I infer from his article, if I am a layperson about economics? Is GDP the main marker or a reliable marker to measure Ukraine’s economy {61}?

This article helps you grasp some extent of the chaos, such as corruption, stagnation of dollar wages for the people who are not Ukrainian elites and the differences in priorities between both groups, and some inexplicable economic choices by Zelensky’s government. However, it is grossly inadequate. Are there articles containing more specificity in certain figures, such as gas prices, electricity prices, rent, numerous examples that help the foreigner outside Ukraine understand what ordinary Ukrainians have to deal with? I want to know the state of Ukraine’s economy through the experiences of ordinary Ukrainian citizens at least up until January 2022, before Russia attacked Ukraine in February 2022.

As of 10 April 2022, the Guardian has an article about Ukraine’s economy projected to shrink by almost 50% this year, but the information in the article does not answer what I want to know {62}. Googling can be frustrating, but I have numerous ways to find certain types of information using Google. After Googling “Ukraine Truths economy”, I attempt “Ukraine Lies economy”. What I find in “Ukraine Lies About 2022 Russian Attack To Hide Dying Economy” published on 27 January 2022 is a shock {63}.

The writer of the article includes some flippant statements which clearly demonstrate zero respect for Zelensky and his government, and the style of those statements are somewhat off-putting. However, he is able to provide many examples of specificity relative to chronology and details and angles in his article, indicating he is aware of Ukrainian life and daily situations, and he definitely understands the sources he is citing.

He claims Oleg Popenko, head of the Union of Consumers of Utilities in Ukraine, spoke of high gas prices which will affect many small and medium businesses, resulting in their failures. Small business owners supposedly will not be able to afford 7000 hyrvnias (equivalent of 22000 rubles at the time of the article) for heating. He claims Ukraine’s former head of the President’s Office Andriy Bogdan has forecast total economic collapse in February 2023, in a recent interview.

The writer also goes on to share what Valentin Zemlyansky, Arsen Avakov, Yuriy Vitrenko and other key Western Ukrainian figures involved with the issues of gas or government in Ukraine have to say, and the context of their comments are shocking to learn. I can understand why the article title speaks of Ukraine’s dying economy by the end of the article, because examples citing key figures and their statements literally conveys the impression of a life support system sustaining a barely-adequate economy at the stage of finally collapsing, for ordinary Ukrainians.

This American journalist lives in Eastern Ukraine which includes Donbass, and he has been derided along with others as “purveyors of Ukraine conspiracies” in a 3 October 2019 New York Times article titled “How A Fringe Theory About Ukraine Took Root In The White House”. Read his article of 27 January 2022, then see if you can find any journalist or media source such as The New York Times publishing anything similar in specificity and depth on this issue of Ukraine’s economy and what ordinary Ukrainian citizens have to face, as of January 2022 or before. Find someone who can fact-check what he has claimed and if so, they must be able to refute him completely.

Search in English, French, German, Spanish, and all other languages you can think of, especially from Western Europe or the two biggest countries in North America. Search and find out if any media sources from USA have produced an article on this topic, with this amount of specificity.

As to any journalists or media sources from USA deriding George Eliason’s work, what   journalism did they produce for Hunter Biden’s laptop, which involved inexplicable sums of money from foreign entities including a company with ties to the Communist Party of China, implications of certain members of the Biden family relative to FARA, and did these journalists inform Americans adequately in the two weeks before an important Presidential election? Have these media sources ever misled the American public, when it comes to wars or conflicts?

How did mainstream USA media sources report the issue of the recent San Francisco School Board recall vote and the recall of San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin, which symbolizes greater underlying problems when Democrat parents are trying to protect the futures of their children while criticizing USA media? Did these journalists or media sources report in a timely comprehensive manner about this issue, or was the quality of reporting unreliably over-selective and misleading? Did they report on the issue?

Searching for “8 years war Ukraine” produces mentions of a war in Donbass. Donbass is a region in South-Eastern Ukraine. As of today, Donbass is controlled by people belonging to groups classified as separatists according to Wikipedia, known as Donetsk People Republic and Luhansk People Republic. A Wikipedia article has to be approached with much caution beyond bare basics, because it depends on the people who write and/or edit the articles.

What can we find about these groups? Can we find any viewpoints from leaders governing these groups? What can we find about living conditions and life expectancy in Donbass? Are these people pro-Ukrainian or Pro-Russian, and what are your definitions of the two terms “Pro-Ukrainian” and “Pro-Russian”?

Trying to Google “Luhansk quality of life 1990s”, “Donetsk quality of life 1990s” and “Donbass quality of life 1990s” poses challenges. Time to return to basics. Look for corruption, quality of education, and life issues such as human trafficking.

“Welcome to Ukraine, the Most Corrupt Nation in Europe” proclaims The Guardian on 6 February 2015. Oliver Bullough writes on the corruption of the healthcare system in Ukraine, but that is still grossly insufficient. Looking at corruption within Ukraine for more than 20 years leads to a special report published by the European Court of Auditors, where I am also informed of efforts by the European Union to reform Ukraine for more than 20 years {64}.

For extent of corruption, Washington Post also has an article published on 10 October 2019 titled “The Trump administration wasn’t rooting out corruption in Ukraine. It was encouraging it”. Sadly, the extent of details and context of details and over-simplification of some parts of the analysis does not correspond to the headlines. The extent of corruption revealed, when listening to leaked recordings almost 20 years ago under Ukraine President Leonid Kuchma, paints a picture of corruption strangling the echelons of Ukraine’s government.

Heads of the Tax Inspectorate, Security Service, prosecutor general, minister of interior affairs, and more were revealed to be democratic in ensuring corruption was wonderfully dispersed throughout the links of command and amongst colleagues, with the prosecutor general having a pivotal role in this entire web of corruption. How does then-President Donald Trump asking Ukraine’s President Zelensky to investigate the dealings of Joe Biden and Hunter Biden with regards to Burisma equate to encouraging corruption?

Given the pattern of shoddy reporting by Washington Post about Burisma, Joe Biden and political leanings of those not aligned with the political leanings of this media source, I can find other sources who have done proper reporting on these issues, and their extensively detailed work contradicts the headlines of this article by the Washington Post.

How has it been officially determined by international organizations that Russia is more corrupt than Ukraine, and Ukraine is only the second-most corrupt country in Europe? Are the methods accurate?

Once again, you have to do more self-research on corruption in Ukraine, and also research on corruption in Russia. Moving on to education, an article was published in World Education News and Reviews on 25 June 2019 about the state of education in Ukraine {65}. There are major problems with Ukraine’s education system, and this article is a must-read of all the problems, past and present, affecting Ukrainians.

With regards to human rights issues such as trafficking or other issues, the results are alarming. Matthew Hill is BBC Health correspondent, and he reports in 2006 about healthy babies possibly being killed in Ukraine to supply a burgeoning stem cell trade {66}. Descriptions of bodies in pieces after exhuming fetuses and babies from graves, and mothers from Kharkov speaking of their healthy babies being taken away by maternity ward staff is horrifying. The Council of Europe speaks of a culture of silence from hospital staff. “Self-styled stem cell capital of the world” is not a flattering achievement, because that also makes one consider the number of surrogates and clinics doing business in Ukraine and their sustainability.

“No Way Home: The Exploitation and Abuse of Children in Ukraine’s Orphanages” by Disability Rights International is a 3-year institutional study, and anywhere from between 82,000 to 200,000 children are at risk or have experienced organ trafficking, sexual abuse such as rape and pornography, and forced labor {67}. Disabled children are particularly at risk of organ trafficking. Huffington Post reported on this in 2015. If you are donating cash or items to these orphanages or other such institutions which have no oversight, are you aware that you might have been helping opportunistic criminals who are also staff running these homes or orphanages, while the children suffer?

Newsweek’s report in 2016 only reinforces this horror, but extended to adult men and women {68}. The Ukraine government’s “written anti-trafficking action plan” prevents it from being downgraded to the US State Department’s Tier 3 list. Al Jazeera also reported on Ukraine’s “baby factories” in 2018 being unregulated and two-thirds of the industry in Ukraine operating illegally, also because Ukraine does not have the limitations and protections instituted by Thailand, India and Nepal against commercial surrogacy and exploitation of their country women.

For those of you outraged about Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens, have you actually done said or done something about these horrors which are occurring too frequently, if you pasted a Ukrainian flag in your social media profile for this current tragedy? People such as Maajid Nawaz have raised the issues of Ukraine being a hub for exploitation of children, stem cells from fetuses or babies, as well as human trafficking.

Despite attempting numerous search combinations, hunting for non-recent articles presenting sufficient neutrality with details is difficult. The difficulty I encounter has me wondering why media sources in English from Western Europe and North America do not have articles presenting direct views from the officials governing self-declared Donetsk People Republic (DNR) or Luhansk People Republic (LNR). Vice has a documentary, but no insight is provided into leadership or military commanders of both self-declared republics. It seems odd when countries in North America and Western Europe take pride in proclaiming themselves as leaders in democracies and free speech and trustworthy journalism. Where are the voices I seek?

A lengthy objective article published on 21 May 2020 by Conflict and Environment Observatory titled “Exploring Environmental Government in Eastern Ukraine” is an illumination {69}. Olga Shashkina gives insight into the environmental efforts, plans and concerns of the self-declared Donetsk and Luhansk People Republics. She mentions these groups setting up various frameworks, and environmental protection appearing to be a key factor which ranks highly on their respective policy agendas.

What is interesting is the term “ecocide” from the respective de-facto authorities accusing the Ukrainian government of various dishonest practices, such as falsifying, concealing and minimizing necessary information related to the environment of the Donbass and thus affecting the health of the populations in these areas.

“Understanding the role of non-state actors, be they armed groups, or new quasi-governmental administrations, is growing ever more important in contemporary armed conflicts,” writes Olga Shashkina.

Olga’s article focuses primarily on non-political aspects of evaluating environmental statistics of Ukraine and the environmental policies or structures within the self-declared authorities of Donbass, giving me insight into Ukraine’s environmental issues.

This article gives me ideas, and using the term “ecocide” alongside certain words when Google searching immediately gives me an article published on 17 March 2019 titled “Ukraine’s Ecocide in Donbass, 1991 to post-2019”. The article presented in English by George Eliason covers interviews with Minister of Natural Resources and Ecological Safety, Uri Degtyaryov, as well as Deputy Foreign Minister Ana Soroka, both from the Lugansk Peoples Republic {70}. The usage of terminology such as “effect of the civil war on the ecology of Donbass” is something to explore.

This detailed article allows Ana Soroka and Uri Degtyaryov to explain environmental challenges in their region, and why they classify the Ukrainian government’s actions in Donbass as “Ecocide”, which also includes accusing the Ukrainian government of utilizing prohibited chemical weapons such as white phosphorus and napalm. This article is not for people who are unprepared for positive solutions to significant environmental problems in Donbass alongside a presentation of appalling reality, using several statistics.

There is a significant timeframe referenced in the article, specifically the 17 March 1991 referendum whereby the Soviet Union was dissolved and in that same year, Ukraine held a referendum on 1 December 1991, regarding the Act of Declaration of Independence. The Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) are labelled respectively as a group of war criminals and a political group allied with Nazi Germany, and their goals were to establish a country of their own. Before, during and after World War II, they tortured and murdered civilians in what became the Soviet Union. These Ukrainian Nazi criminals never faced justice for their crimes, whereby Jews were a significant target alongside other minorities.

“…the children, grandchildren, and Diaspora relatives of the OUN and UPA actively sought to punish the regions that did not support a united Ukraine allied with WWII Germany” from Ana Soroka is a very heavy statement in an article that gradually pivots from environment and Luhansk region having the lowest life expectancy in Ukraine for children, by delving into history. Stepan Bandera is mentioned as one of Ukraine’s World War II OUN Nazi leaders, while the OUN under Bandera is labelled as infamous within Luhansk Donbass region for murdering and torturing civilians.

Please remember the existence of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN), because the proponents and descendants of their ideology have a key role in the current mess. Anybody who empowers their racist Nazi-collaborating ideology via any form of support also needs to take primary responsibility for getting innocent Ukrainians into this awful military mess with Russia. Are their descendants or followers classified as neo-Nazis or Nazis?

Can you find Donbass on a map without resorting to Google? What has been happening in Donbass since 1991 {71}? This angle of vital history covering this region in Ukraine needs to be reported comprehensively by media sources in Western Europe and North America, so readers are objectively informed and governments outside Western Europe and North America can truly make reliable decisions but once again, finding sufficiently detailed and sufficiently objective reporting is difficult.

Media sources outside Western Europe and North America are advised to exercise necessary journalism on Donbass ASAP which your Western counterparts have mostly failed to fulfil, or you may in future find yourself globally lumped by a majority of the world population in the same unfortunate category of unreliable narrative-manipulating activists as your journalistic colleagues of those regions who have failed to do so.

I am weary and wary of emotional manipulation offline and online in this digital age, after browsing too many years of misrepresented events, misleading clickbait headlines and poorly-reported articles while witnessing how social media has been weaponized. I am very sympathetic to the Ukrainians fleeing Ukraine and those who have already been killed in the ongoing military strife, but I also withhold any judgment on Zelensky’s government or Putin’s government until I have sufficient concrete evidence to make a preliminary conclusion.

By Day 50 of this conflict, a reliable preliminary conclusion has been reached because of access to articles and declassified papers, alongside careful evaluation of reporting by people supporting opposing sides. You need well-developed emotional maturity to be able to understand and balance sympathy alongside withholding of judgement.

Perusing social media such as Facebook and Twitter can be draining while affecting your mental and emotional health, because they are understandably flooded with viewpoints using inflammatory strong language or immature vulgar name-calling, with too many people behaving badly online when they would not do so offline, while terribly limited by character count on mediums such as Twitter.

However, social media is invaluable, because you can also find intelligent people sharing essential information not reported in news articles. Media sources also use social media, and this fusion of referencing media outlets with other sources unexpectedly provides staggering evidence of Nazism, and their influence in Ukraine.

Nick Schifrin of PBS Newshour seems oblivious to the reality and history of Ukrainian neo-Nazi Mayor Artem Seminikhin when interviewing him online, which was shared by the media outlet on 4 March 2022 {71}. Ukrainian Jews living in Konotop were shocked when Artem Seminikhin was elected in 2015, given traits of his behavior which you do not want in a mayor if you fear Nazis and despise antisemitism. This was detailed in a must-read article from Jerusalem Post by Sam Sokol {72}. Nick Schifrin also seems unable to recognize the blurred-out framed picture of Stepan Bandera in the background where Artem Seminikhin is seated.

Speaking of Nazism, what is the history of Ukraine relative to this issue? How has Ukraine treated its minorities, such as Roma and Jews? Are there any Jews living in Ukraine, who have been actively documenting antisemitism and are able to show me evidence of Nazism in modern Ukraine, within the recent 20 years?

On this question of neo-Nazis and/or Nazism in Ukraine, more than 99% of the current global population is unaware of a very important annual event which recently took place in Kiev.

Director-General of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee Eduard Dolinsky posted a tweet on 8 February 2022, about annual Bandera readings taking place in Kiev at Maydan Museum {73}. The Maidan Museum is “National Memorial to the Heavenly Hundred Heroes and Revolution of Dignity Museum”, according to their own website. This year’s event has the headlines of “World of Stepan Bandera: Ideas and Modern Challenges”. Eduard Dolinsky’s tweet ends with “The main ideas of WWII Ukrainian ultranationalist Stepan Bandera was the ethnic cleansing of Poles and murder of Jews.”

Eduard Dolinsky’s Twitter account is bursting at the seams with examples of antisemitism within Ukraine, and the extent of antisemitism he shares for us to understand about antisemitism in schools and churches and communities and councils and military forces of Ukraine is blatantly shocking. However, the global public and much of online Jewish participants against antisemitism remains unaware of his invaluable work.

His tweet on 4 February 2022 shows Ukrainian artist Roman Bonchuk publicly showcasing his painting “Jew with a pig” in Ivano-Frankivsk, Western Ukraine {74}. Another tweet on 15 January 2022 shows a gigantic Stepan Bandera banner which was torn in half by strong winds, proudly draped outside Ternopil State Regional Administration building {75}. On 13 January 2022, he shares another tweet of a Christmas play by Vitvytsya village residents, whereby an “ugly greedy Jew” is dressed in a Soviet uniform which contrasts to the nobly-dressed Ukrainians {76}. Still in January 2022, a shopping mall in Khmelnitsky hung a gigantic banner of Stepan Bandera with the declaration “Our father is Stepan Bandera” {77}.

On 7 June 2019 in a football match against Serbia, Ukraine’s stadium in Lvov became a tribute from Ukrainians to Nazism, complete with Nazi salutes and glorifying the OUN-UPA motto {78}. See the footage for yourself. Zelensky was President of Ukraine by this point of time, in 2019.  On 16 July 2021, Eduard Dolinsky was speaking into a vacuum when he pointed out the mandatory slogan to wear at all Ukrainian football clubs, which people outside Ukraine use in a wincingly ignorant manner and unintentionally honoring Nazis. The world was oblivious to Ukraine’s city of Ternopil wanting to rename its stadium in 2021 after Ukrainian Nazi collaborator Roman Shukhevych, mass murderer of Jews and Polish people in World War II and especially in Ternopil.

Do you know how many roads, monuments and other places in Western Ukraine have been named after Ukrainian Nazi collaborators or glorify Ukrainian Nazi collaborators who aided and furthered Nazism? Did you research how widespread and pervasive is the honoring of Nazism in Ukraine, among non-Jewish Western Ukrainians?

You can read articles such as Politico’s “Putin wants to De-Nazify Ukraine- That’s ludicrous says the country’s Jews”. Is the article accurately representative of Ukraine’s reality and is the journalist interviewing the Jews most-knowledgeable and hence suitably able to answer the questions of Nazism in Ukraine, when interviewing Ukrainian Jews such as Rabbi Yaakov Bleich? No offense intended, but is the Rabbi aware of what a fellow Jew such as Eduard Dolinsky knows? Do professional duties and consistent observations of Rabbi Yaakov Bleich cover the same areas of focus as Eduard Dolinsky? On what basis can Rabbi Yaakov Bleich be certain Russia’s Putin is completely wrong?

Are journalists interviewing Ukrainian Jews such as Eduard Dolinsky, who told fellow Jews at the European Jewish Congress on 24 February 2020 about, “Our government encourages nationalistic groups. Our government encourages glorification of Nazi collaborators, mass murderers, murderers of Jews, literally! There are hundreds of monuments, streets, named after killers of Jews-” while his Twitter timeline and Facebook page is bursting with examples, to back up his claims?

See for yourself the clapping and joy of Kiev City Council members, as they sing “Our Father is Bandera” after they renamed a street after a Nazi collaborator and antisemite who killed Jews and perpetuated the Holocaust {79}. See for yourself the Ukrainian military paratroopers singing “Our Father is Bandera, Our Mother is Ukraine”, whereby Stepan Bandera’s achievements include being an unforgivable antisemite, renowned Nazi collaborator, and murdering at least 100 000 Polish people between 1943-1944 {80}. See for yourself the mayor of Chernivtzy giving out OUN-UPA flags to city school directors and telling them to hang those flags in schools {81}. OUN split into two factions, with OUN-B led by Stepan Bandera who is revered by Azov- How many ignorant people have posted Azov Battalion flags on their social media profiles?

Sheldon Kirshner published an important article on 9 March 2022 titled “Ukrainian Nationalists and the Holocaust” on the Times of Israel, mentioning Canadian historian John-Paul Himka’s work about OUN and UPA working with Nazi Germany to maximize the genocide of Jews in World War II. Google and read this essential article, if you know nothing about OUN and UPA which is central to the antisemitic genocide of Jews in Ukraine during World War II, whereby many criminal perpetrators belonging to OUN and UPA have never been adequately brought to justice or punished.

John-Paul Himka stated that the OUN “borrowed from Italian fascism and German national socialism”, and believed in “dictatorship, an authoritarian leader, corporatism, censorship and political violence against opponents.” By the mid-1930s, antisemitism was a key component of its tenets, likening struggles against Jews akin to fighting Communism. The OUN, UPA and any of its modern followers must be identified and dealt with accordingly. This unaddressed disease of Nazism within Ukraine which helped empower the Holocaust must be addressed and eradicated.

As a sidenote, throughout this entire summary, the Azov Movement and all other fascist nationalists are not labelled as far right. They deserve different labels, more accurate than “fascist nationalist” or “Neo-Nazi”. Yes, they can be classified as totalitarian and fascist and propagators of Nazism. When you carefully evaluate the components and layers and histories of their ideology, are they far-right, or can these Bandera-worshipping OUN-descendant/UPA-descendant revolutionary ultranationalist Nazis be classified as far-left? Can we obtain a reliable consensus?

The above examples are a tiny fragment of what Eduard Dolinsky bravely uncovers and shares, despite numerous death threats he has received while living in Ukraine. Born and grew up in the Soviet Union, unkind in his views towards Russia, having lived in Ukraine since its inception- What justification do you have, to reject what he constantly shares about antisemitism and Nazism in Ukraine while he endures being ignored by many fellow Jews and non-Jews who should educate themselves via his efforts?

The biggest evil and injustice Eduard Dolinsky has suffered is the selective silence from fellow Jews in any country who work for news companies and still ignore him after 100 days of Russia and Ukraine’s military tragedy, especially when they are journalists or editors.

On 29 December 2021, Eduard Dolinsky informed his audience about Ukraine’s Parliament decision to celebrate the 130th jubilee of a certain Nazi SS Galicia Division Hauptschturmfuhrer {82}. This antisemite was awarded the Nazi Iron Cross II class in 1944 {83}. Please see the link to the second document on this page, at the Ukraine Parliament’s website {84}.

What was Ukraine’s Jewish President doing about all this? Look at everything which Eduard Dolinsky has tweeted about rampant antisemitism and examples of Nazism infesting Ukrainian societies and schools across different cities in Ukraine before 2019 and up until now, then look at all the tweets about antisemitism in Ukraine which Eduard Dolinsky has shared, since Volodymyr Zelensky became President of Ukraine in 2019.

Eduard Dolinsky’s careful compilation of examples on Twitter and Facebook is the strongest refutation of Zelensky’s effectiveness as a Jewish President of Ukraine, when it comes to combating antisemitism or resolving viral Nazism infesting Ukrainian society. It is horrible to know a country contains unrepentant descendants of Ukrainian Nazi collaborators who never had to face justice for crimes of genocide, rape and torture of Jews and those they classified as “non-Aryan” in World War II, unlike prominent antisemites of Nazi Germany. Do the majority of Jews in Ukraine truly have a voice to reach the global public?

Why are the Jews in Israel and the Diaspora holding jobs in journalism refusing to give a fellow Jew the global voice he deserves, for fighting to reveal the evils that he has uncovered? Sharing Eduard Dolinsky’s knowledge about the full-blown evils of antisemitism and obvious Nazism plaguing Ukraine is necessary journalism by global media. Should their editors be chastised for contributing or being central to this appalling distortion/cover-up of reality?

The Jewish hero of Ukraine risking his life every day in Ukraine against Nazism to spread truth and help his fellow Jews is Eduard Dolinsky, not Volodymyr Zelensky.

As to an opinion of Volodymyr Zelensky, read to the end of this article and peruse the sources, and you can evaluate for yourself why I would make such a claim about Volodymyr Zelensky. My opinion of Volodymyr Zelensky is hugely restrained here, and I have looked at many different sources to form a justifiable opinion. You can disagree for now with my opinion but if you want to disagree with me by the end of this article, be prepared to refute undeniable reality including declassified papers.

As to Jews and other Israelis living in Israel, as well as Jews outside Israel who disagree with how Israel has been demonized and unfairly portrayed by certain media sources but all of you believe the reports by the same media sources about other countries… How do you pick and choose what to believe?

This year, in 2022, throughout various locations in Israel such as Bnei Brak and Tel Aviv, 19 Israelis were murdered by terrorists within 45 days. BBC reports “Fishmongers’ Hall: Terrorist shot 20 times on London Bridge” when Fishmonger Hall’s terrorist murderer Usman Khan’s unacceptable actions also murdering two people were covered by media {85}. The same BBC manufactured a completely misleading headline for terrorists who attacked and murdered Israelis in a Tel Aviv bar, to become “Israel: Palestinian gunman killed after deadly attack at Tel Aviv bar”. The first headline was acceptable, but the second headline is garbage.

Look at the reporting by various outlets in USA, UK and other countries when Israelis were attacked in Be’er Sheva, Ariel, Dizengoff, Hadera, Bnei Brak and Elad. If you consider headlines misleading and manipulating readers while whitewashing terrorists as garbage, do you ask why there are double standards from media outlets outside Israel towards Israel? If these media outlets can report decently about crimes within their home country but not outside their country, do you think you should be re-evaluating what they report about other issues outside their home country?

You have to inform the global public about their ignorance making them vulnerable to emotional manipulation. Too many people mistakenly believe that if an official news outlet or journalist from an official news source can report from a dangerous region or territory outside their country, they are not compromised. These people obviously do not understand historical reality about the flaws of official media.

When USA’s Associated Press wanted to report from Nazi Germany during World War II, they had to comply with the demands by officials following Hitler’s orders {86}. German historian Harriet Scharnberg’s paper “The A and P of Propaganda” should be compulsory reading in every school in every country for teenagers. If that paper is too difficult for teenagers, then Matti Friedman’s brilliant 2017 Tablet article referencing that paper while revisiting vital history should be in all schools.

In order to remain in Berlin to report, Associated Press got rid of all Jewish photographers working there as per race laws demanded by the Nazis, issued a statement and swore they were a pure Aryan bureau, refused to show crimes and murders inflicted on Jews during that period, and allowed images of American Jews to be used for dehumanizing propaganda books about Jews, amongst other actions taken to appease Hitler’s demands {87}.

Do you think becoming a completely misleading and selectively-censored mouthpiece for a genocidal regime can be classified as a smart or moral choice to surrender to, while knowing you are lying to the world about what you push out as “news” and “facts”, in order to have access to report on any kind of news from that country?

Matti Friedman’s article is brilliantly vital, because he also includes current examples of media being misleading without the knowledge of the global public. Modern examples can include the bureau of Associated Press in North Korea being paid by Associated Press but installing staffers completely loyal to the North Korean regime, as reported by Nate Thayer. Another example he detailed was his personal experience as an Associated Press correspondent in Jerusalem, when reporting in the sub-bureau from areas controlled by Hamas required complying with Hamas.

As a result, I refuse to believe any article published by Associated Press about Israel and the Israel-Palestine conflict and any territories controlled by terrorists, until Associated Press can officially declare they can report independently and confidently without compromises to appease Hamas.

Read Matti’s article titled “What The AP’s Collaboration With The Nazis Should Teach Us About The News” for exact details of how the global public has been misled without knowing ever since decades ago and even today, and please stop blindly believing. Verification, not blind belief, is necessary when bombarded by media sources or journalists today.

When you see tweets such on Twitter by people, such as @kimbeydoun writing, “For a country who is well armed they sure are afraid of a flag and rocks. Cowards.” With multiple hashtags implying Israel is a terrorist apartheid state, because of reading an AP article titled “Israeli nationalists wage battle against Palestinian Flag”, do you understand why and how these misinformed outspoken well-meaning people have been manipulated without their realization {87}?

Do you think you deserve a scolding and should be ashamed of yourself, if you are aware of what I have pointed out, but you also believe everything published by these same media sources or journalists about Ukraine and Russia without verification?

Jews in every country have a responsibility to watch this video of Eduard Dolinsky talking about Ukraine in 2020, and share what he said. And perhaps share this entire article, because the ignorance of the people in so many countries who are empowering this mess could make me weep. On 24 February 2020 at the annual European Jewish Association conference in Paris, Chairperson of the Mönchengladbach Jewish Community Dr Leah Floh was one of many participants sharing about Jewish life in Germany {88}. In this segment uploaded by the European Jewish Association on Youtube, Eduard Dolinsky starts speaking at 11:22. I will transcribe 99% of the contents spoken by this Ukrainian Jew actively fighting antisemitism. Please watch everything, if you want to see his body language accompanying these words.

[ Friends, I’m coming from Ukraine… A country whose president probably the only one in Europe is Jewish: Volodymyr Zelensky. And in the same time, I’m coming from a country which American Anti-Defamation League put on a list of the most antisemitic countries in Europe, after Poland… And I’d like to say this in order to show you the complexity of the issue when we speak of antisemitism in Ukraine. They both- They use this- The presidency of Zelensky in both ways.

They say- I mean nationalistic groups, political parties, activists, civil society, many many many many people say that- That this is a clear example of how Jews taken over Ukraine. Zelensky is saying in interview that there is no antisemitism in Ukraine because he is Jewish. So, the truth is somewhere in the middle.

I was witnessing because I was born and raised in Soviet Union and I perfectly remember what was going on there. The state antisemitism- I was witnessing all these 30 years of Ukrainian Independence since the collapse of the Soviet Union. The last five years is unbelievably- Unbelievable rise of antisemitism, specifically and especially in antisemitic rhetoric. Especially in the social media- We got, by our estimation, hundreds and thousands of everyday comments and rhetorics and statements. Everyday. Antisemitic. Which we count as antisemitic incidents. We don’t have a very- Very rare- We have very rare and extremely rare antisemitic physical violence against people.

Probably because we have a very small Islamic community, probably because we don’t have immigration from the east, but this is not the issues. Yet, for Ukraine, the physical violence- Attacks- Physical attacks- Er… But, we are facing the things which no Jewish community in Europe were facing since the war!

We lost part of our community by the annexation of Crimea. About ten or ten thousand or more Jews became citizens- Became Russia, by annexation of Crimea. We lost more than ten thousand Jews- I mean not physically, but by the war in the east! By the conflict, aggression of Russia in the east of Ukraine! There are two very large communities- Are now isolated. This was Donetsk and Lugansk. There were thousands of people! Some of them had to emigrate- I mean to migrate, to relocate inside of Ukraine.

For example, now in Kiev, you can find Donetsk Jewish community. These are the people who were forced to leave their homes and to go in Kiev with their own rabbi. By the way, the Chief Rabbi Pinchas Vishedski, who is chairing now Donetsk community in Kiev-

Rabbi Azman, he initiated a project. He built- How- Few houses outside Kiev for these Jews who relocated from Donetsk. This place is called Anatevka- (Next three short sentences somewhat disjointed but irrelevant)

We believe that security and protection of Jewish community is not only physical protection, like the- I saw the entrance doors to this building- It’s amazing! I never seen anything like this, the thickness- But we feel- We, Ukrainian Jews, the Ukrainian Jewish Community which were totally unregulated during the Holocaust- Ninety percent of us were killed. Only few survived, but we were able to- Within these 30 years, revive our institutions, but we do have problems with the government, as you- Paul- Made the question- What I can say about our government.

Our government encourages nationalistic groups. Our government encourages glorification of Nazi collaborators, mass murderers, murderers of Jews, literally! There are hundreds of monuments, streets, named after killers of Jews. You can’t- This- Imagine in the West- You can’t imagine in France, for example, a monument to a policeman who were exporting Jews to the Nazi death camps.

Our government continuously rejecting invitation to become member of International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. They continuously rejecting adopting of IHRA working definition. We have in the Criminal Code an article, and say, 161 for violation of equality- It’s somewhere near antisemitism, but no one in 30 years- No one was ever convicted! We have antisemitic incidents everyday! There is vandalism on mass graves, Holocaust mass graves, vandalism on Jewish monuments- Shalom Aleichem, latest was vandalized with swastikas in Kiev’s central Babyn Yar —-

No one was ever convicted because they did this article that is initially not workable, so no one could be punished…..

… For not to be in a state of denial, because our relations is denial. I mean they denial- They deny the issue of antisemitism in the country. They totally deny! You can see, there- There was public statements by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. They said that there was a ADL through a minister for Diaspora of Israel- Er, leaders of American Congresses- They- All these denied the issue: From our Jewish president towards the law enforcement at the lowest level- So my point is that we need your support in things which local — do not want to listen from us, from Jews. They can listen it from Europeans- Europeans government- From ambassadors on antisemitism, which are present in this audience, as I understand- (finishes this sentence).

Thank you. ]

How was that dose of reality in 2020 from a Ukrainian Jew choosing to inform his audience of fellow Jews using English in the heart of France, about Ukraine’s government under President Volodymyr Zelensky? Please watch the entire video for yourself, to also see the 1% which I had difficulty transcribing due to audio.

As to the rest of his views, not related to his direct knowledge of antisemitism and Zelensky’s government: With regards to Crimea and Russia, I wonder what Eduard Dolinsky thinks of the 2014 mess in Maidan. Did he know Maidan 2014 was a coup and not a revolution, which C14’s Yevhen Karas admitted and confirmed this year in Kiev? If Eduard Dolinsky does not know, bold specific proclamations by a specific Bandera-loyal ultranationalist to a certain audience in February 2022 will be shared here for him to see, right after this important speech.

In 2014, Rabbi Pinchas Vishedski made it clear he did not want the Jews of Donetsk to be treated as tools in a political game, after coming out against what he deemed as a political hoax. He also said antisemitic incidents in the Russian-speaking region of Eastern Ukraine were “rare, unlike in Kiev and Western Ukraine {89}. Why did he leave Donetsk? According to this article, Rabbi Pinchas Vishedski left Donetsk because of the requests of his congregants and the constant shelling {90}. What is happening to the Jewish community in Donetsk?

We have a small window into their lives in 2019, and it is interesting to note Odessa-born Arie Shvartz was the acting rabbi of the Donetsk synagogue, whereby he said he was unafraid to go out in his kippah while also mentioning he never experienced any antisemitism in Donetsk {91}.

I want to hear from ordinary Jews in Donetsk and Lugansk, about their lives and experiences and views. Where are the articles and multi-episode documentaries featuring them, in Ukrainian or Russian? The magnitude and specificity of details which I want to know about them and from them is similar to what George Eliason referenced for his article about the state of Ukraine’s economy as published on 27 January 2022, only much longer and as multiple articles or episodes.

Regardless of whether you are Jewish or non-Jewish, do you have an obligation to share and speak of truth, to refute misinformation? Why do you have a responsibility? If you are Jewish, what are you doing for many Jews in Ukraine who have no voice, who are ignored by the same media sources of Western Europe and two largest countries in North America which constantly misrepresent Israel whenever terrorist attacks happen and kill or wound innocent Israelis? Did you share any wrong opinions to anyone, about this tragedy involving Ukraine and Russia? If you claim to be Jewish, how do you rectify your actions of misinforming any Jews and non-Jews?

In this issue of Russia and Ukraine, if you choose to support a side, you will also be taking a stance on the Holocaust. Will you support Nazis and those who further Nazism, or will you decide to give these stains on humanity what they deserve?

But before you can choose fairly, you have to be properly informed.

This rest of this article will give you an irrefutable idea of whether a Jewish president or any Jewish organizations in Ukraine have any influence or effect on the hugely problematic disease of antisemitism and Nazism infesting too deeply into too many areas of Western Ukraine. These comparisons might also raise questions in your mind about how Volodymyr Zelensky became President.

If you also want to figure out whether someone is spreading Russian propaganda or whether a Russian source can be accurate, an example is to compare the document at {84} to what was shared by a spokeswoman for Russia’s Foreign Ministry {92}. Please do comparisons where applicable, as constantly as possible, so you can see for yourself which party or parties are spreading propaganda, especially when a source claims another party is spreading propaganda.

I will classify groups such as C14, Azov Movement, Centuria, Pravy Sektor and any other groups or individuals active in Ukraine propagating the beliefs and ideology of OUN, UPA and Stepan Bandera as Nazi-honoring revolutionary ultranationalists or revolutionary ultranationalist Nazis, which has differences greater than being merely labelled as “fascist nationalists” or “nationalists”.

Pravy Sektor is a group involved in the events of Maidan in 2014 {93}, does not want closer ties to Europe and the European Union, has no issues with their tactics in 2014 which includes coordinating with other nationalist groups while resorting to violence for success {94}, and they refuse to disarm to this day {95}. Azov Battalion as part of the Azov Movement is a huge problem, but other groups are no less significant.

“For us, Europe is not an issue, in fact joining with Europe would be the death of Ukraine. Europe means the death of the nation state and the death of Christianity. We want a Ukraine for Ukrainians, run by Ukrainians, and not serving the interests of others,” claims Andriy Tarasenko of Pravy Sektor. His idea of a “national democracy” through a “national revolution” requires rejecting the “totalitarian liberalism” of the European Union.

Investigating a Tweet in Japanese about a certain talk in Maidan Museum and searching for the source using video mediums, I find videos of Ukrainian ultranationalist C14’s leader Yevgeny Vasilyevich Karas, who is also known as Yevhen Karas. He is someone classified as choosing to stay mostly under-the-radar when it comes to public visibility, hence much of the world is ignorant about him.

This dangerous terrorist -ignored by more than 98% of the current world population, but also more effective than that same 98% of the global population in terms of primarily contributing to the current problems plaguing Ukraine while also bearing significant responsibility affecting a majority of decisions made by ignorant world leaders with regards to Ukraine- was publicly airing his opinions in Kiev’s Maidan Museum on 5 February 2022 {96]. If you Google “Yevhen Karas”, you will also find short snippets of what he said at this recent event, also summarized in Turkish on aydinlik.com {97}.

What this dangerous ultranationalist confidently shared with his audience was devastating, because he immediately destroyed all credibility of media sources or people claiming neo-Nazis or Nazism are not a problem in Ukraine {98}. He claims to have been given a lot of weaponry not because the West wants to help or because the West wants the best for them, but because they perform the tasks set by others.

“… because we are the only ones ready to do them. We have fun. We have fun killing and we have fun fighting-”

He makes a lot of claims, while calmly and clearly enjoying what he shares with his audience. His claims include identifying “themselves” as the flagmen who started a war which has not been seen in 60 years, claims “we” have the most “Javelins” on the European continent with only UK possessing more than Ukraine, and the potential of these armed forces will pose an immediate threat to those who are now fighting them. I do not know how he came to the conclusion that Turkey, Poland, UK and Ukraine are in an alliance. He speculates about the Balkanization of Russia, such as Russia breaking into five parts.

He also states that the “cool ambitious goal” is not to join a “European family” which has already collapsed, but new political alliances on the global stage. He also talks about Maidan where nationalists were the key factor, and also at the frontlines. He claimed Maidan as a victory for nationalists “because it was under our banner, under our slogans”.

It is a professional obligation and moral duty of media sources in all countries to obtain the entire contents of the speech by Yevhen Karas at the Maidan Museum on 5 February 2022. Media sources of all countries need to obtain that lecture ASAP, translate its contents accurately, upload it for all adult citizens to watch, and vile truths will become undeniable. Yevhen Karas mentions certain Ukrainian individuals and events, and the web of interconnected individuals which he reveals is definitely something the world must hear.

He also mockingly refutes foreign embassies and other sources who used statistics of 8% or 10% as a number to downplay “neo-Nazis” in Ukraine, because he claims these 8% or 10% of “nationalists” were much more effective in terms of influence. “Endless” is not a word I was expecting to hear, when he describes the extent of influence. He claims that if it were not for that 8%, Maidan would have failed, numbers are not the point, and he distinguishes himself from modern left-wingers while mocking sources such as Boell Foundation.

“If not for nationalists, that whole thing would have turned into a gay parade,” is what he claims about Maidan.

Maidan in 2014 is described within numerous media articles and general articles such as Wikipedia on Google at first click as a revolution, most commonly labelled as ‘Revolution of Dignity”. If the events of Maidan in 2014 were fueled primarily by the intentions and actions of fascists such as Yevhen Karas and hence a success, then the overthrowing of Yanukovych is a coup d’état premised on evil intentions and should stop being wrongly feted. “Revolution” and “Coup d’état” are completely different classifications. Illegal overthrowing and removal of a democratically-elected government and president while breaching Ukraine’s Constitution by a political faction of Nazi-honoring ultranationalists intent on racial purity is a tragedy, not a triumph.

The existence of the annual Stepan Bandera readings in Ukraine where modern perpetrators of Nazism as ultranationalists can gather to confidently disseminate unacceptable extremism, especially what Yevhen Karas has said on 5 February 2022, has irreversibly destroyed the credibility and contents produced by many journalists and media sources and experts throughout Western Europe and North America, including news such as the NPR article published on 5 March 2022 starting with “Experts have roundly dismissed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s suggestion that Nazism is prevalent in Ukraine” {99}. Many tweets also did not age well.

One unforgettable example is Ambassador Mark Gitenstein, USA’s current Ambassador to the EU. His tweet on 20 May 2019 about “arriving in Kyiv today, I took a moment to visit #Maidan and lay a wreath to honor those killed there in February 2014. The revolution of dignity they sparked led Ukraine to a new path inextricably linked to Europe and the United States” has turned out to be very unfortunately-phrased {100}.

Yevhen Karas mentions Ihor Kolomoisky admitting to sponsoring Nazis. Eduard Dolinsky spoke of Zelensky’s government empowering Nazi glorification. Yevhen Karas is labelling the empowerment given by Ihor Kolomoisky to paramilitary fascists as “Nazis”. Factor in too many numerous examples which Eduard Dolinsky has presented within modern Ukraine, and also consider the same label used by these two sources. Paramilitary or not, we can now classify all Bandera-loving revolutionary ultranationalists as Nazis, instead of wrongly labelling them as neo-Nazis.

What Yevhen Karas did not mention and might not have known about was a public press statement by USA’s Secretary of State Anthony Blinken published on 5 March 2021 on the US State Department website, whereby Ihor Koloimoisky has been identified as being involved in significant corruption, while undermining democratic processes and institutions in Ukraine, resulting in him and his immediate family being barred from entering USA {101}.

Ihor Kolomoisky has been accused by Ukrainian investigators and USA’s justice department of an elaborate Ponzi scheme to redirect Ukrainian taxpayer dollars in Midwest America {102}. Due to loopholes attributed to lax laws for purchasing American property relative to shell companies, ordinary Americans are affected when buildings are bought, property taxes are not paid, and nothing develops in their vicinity.

Why have politicians in Congress failed to eradicate these loopholes and instill accountability and oversight, which is unfairly punishing American citizens? USA’s Midwest appears to be a haven for illicit financial shenanigans for foreigners. The Pandora Papers have revealed much about illicit financial activities by many people of many countries, and Ukraine’s President Zelensky has also been implicated in those investigations.

Yevgeny Vasilyevich Karas aka Yevhen Karas needs to be detained ASAP and interrogated by officials of many countries whose priorities are national security, especially when he states Ukraine will be a problem not only for the EU and internal opposition within Ukraine, but also a problem for many countries if the nationalists come to power. His words must be shared with the world ASAP.

Yevhen Karas has made it implicitly clear that he and those he works with believe fighting and killing is fun, and they clearly have prior experiences which they classify as such. Did you pause reading this, to ask yourself how their victims died? Do you wonder how their victims were tortured before they died, and what those victims felt? Or did you pause, only because you are reading these sentences which I had to insert, to trigger a sense of humanity in you, since you might have forgotten or ignored the reality of people murdered by these Ukrainian terrorists belonging to paramilitary organizations and hence contributed to dangerous ultranationalists such as Yevhen Karas happily talking about their experiences of killing and fighting being fun?

This is someone who understands mockery, calmly dispenses insults, and enjoys death, destruction and war on more than a local scale with desires to go global, given how he explains his ambitions akin to describing a drama series which he wants to create. This man does not care for peace or Europe or the world, when he is describing Ukraine as a powerful country.

The intentions and actions of Yevhen Karas have wide-ranging dangerous implications beyond Ukraine. He is a significant menace to Ukraine and neighboring countries, a national security threat to Europe and beyond. He needs to be detained and dealt with accordingly, which makes it much more likely to necessitate military intervention if he belongs to a much-larger group of similar-minded evil individuals who have roles or leadership influence within the Ukraine government and Ukraine armed forces, and if the Ukrainian government has been unable to purge such dangerous Nazi terrorists within its government and military.

Given how Romani were violently attacked by C14, Yevhen Karas is likely to view people from East Asia, Central Asia, Africa and people of many other regions very differently from those he classifies as worthy of his views, if he is given the power to extend and impose his current opinions onto a global population. He clearly does not intend to limit his ambitions to Ukraine. Please evaluate and understand the origins of the name of his group, plus any relevant Ukrainian history related to Nazi Germany. C14 stands for “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children”, and its historical origins of a name are far more heinous.

Countries outside Ukraine must not arm Yevhen Karas, Andriy Tarasenko or other Nazism-perpetrating Ukrainians who believe in violence and population purity. These descendants of OUN-UPA must be stopped ASAP. Is Yevhen Karas one of the key factors addressed in Putin’s statements of denazifying and demilitarizing Ukraine? How deeply extensive is this Nazi problem in Ukraine’s government and armed forces, which is determined by Western Ukraine?

Anyone who covers up for C14 or works with C14 has to be publicly and globally denounced, and dealt with accordingly. Anyone who covers up for any groups of people backing Nazism in Ukraine has to be publicly and globally denounced. Anyone who works with Bandera-loving Nazism perpetrators must be globally identified. Ukrainians who perpetuate the ideology of OUN-UPA must be identified and dealt with. This requires the world to realize, admit and officially denounce and reject the horrors of Nazi Germany including the evil crimes of Nazism such as genocide perpetuated by their Ukrainian Nazism-loving collaborators.

This official globally-united denouncement has become unavoidably necessary from more than a moral viewpoint, because the conflict between the governments and military of Russia and Ukraine is also affecting the world economy and lives of citizens in many countries.

The Holocaust will truly become “Never Again”, when all forms of antisemitism are identified and defeated in every country where antisemitism breeds, including those who perpetuate the shared beliefs of Nazi Germany and OUN-UPA. In this military struggle between Russia and Ukraine, you have to pick a side if you want justice to prevail and one side to win. If you do not want to back genocidal evils of history and condemn innocent civilians (be they Ukrainian or Russian) to unfair outcomes, do not glorify and celebrate your ignorance by refusing to see how you have been manipulated without your knowledge or consent.

Does C14 or any other ultranationalist Nazi groups have influence and participation in Ukraine’s armed forces or security arrangements or government? Does Ukraine’s President Zelensky know about any of these ultranationalist Nazi groups, know the leaders of these groups, or work with the leaders of these groups?

Perhaps other people working for Zelensky have not informed Zelensky of a Nazi problem? It becomes imperative to identify all Nazi groups in Ukraine and any training schools or camps they have instituted, especially any groups or individuals who are in Zelensky’s government or the military. It also becomes imperative to fully understand the circumstances of Zelensky becoming President of Ukraine.

An article at Vox gives us a glimpse into this quagmire of Nazis and their influence within Ukraine, mentioning Aydar Battalion as one of the militia groups funded by oligarchs such as Ihor Kolomoisky {103}. At the time of the article in 2015, Ukraine’s interior minister Arsen Avakov was also identified as having close ties to Nazi group Azov Battalion.

Prior to 2022, Azov Battalion received some media coverage, but the best source to start understanding Azov Battalion as part of the Azov Movement is through Kate Spencer’s well-detailed paper about “Examining the Threat of the Azov Movement in Ukraine”. They oppose Russia, liberals, anti-fascists, LGBT people, minorities such as Roma, “feminists within Ukraine as well as promoting xenophobic views” {104}.

After the Minsk Accords in 2015 which was not honored by Ukraine’s government of the time, Azov Battalion was officially incorporated into Ukraine’s National Guard. Azov’s founder is key to their bluntly discriminatory approach of achieving a beautiful new world which does not include many of you in it, with goals such as “lead the white races of the world in a final crusade against Semite-led Untermenschen” {105}. Please look up “Semite-led Untermenschen”, especially if you are Jewish.

Saudi Arabia, UAE, India, Israel, Turkey, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea and the majority of the global population have no place in the world of the Azov movement, and the Azov Movement cannot be allowed to expand any further. Nazis in Ukraine must be stopped, such as C14, Azov Movement, Centuria, Pravy Sektor and all other groups. People such as myself, who are not acceptably pure to the Azov Movement and would be exterminated by the Azov Movement, must diligently do homework before we pick a side.

People who do not mind being violent and carrying out genocide based on skin color or racial classification are already criminals or potential terrorists who should not be armed, supported, funded, or praised by anyone with a brain and conscience.

How badly has antisemitism tainted Ukrainian politics? Neil Karpenko of Haaretz gave examples of two remarks in 2019, before expounding on the endemic problem in his must-read article {106}. If you cannot read it because it is paywalled, it can also be read here {107}. Jews reading his article might find details very distressing. As a starter, see if you can identify the statement from a leader of a Ukrainian far-right organization versus a statement from Ukraine’s diplomatic consul based in Germany.

“Ukraine will belong to Ukrainians instead of kikes!”

“Clear the kikes from Odessa and Ukraine!”

To understand the reach of members within the Azov Movement, Azov Movement’s armed wing of Azov Battalion has also established a home in Ukraine’s elite military academy, Hetman Petro Sahaidachny National Army Academy {108}. According to GW’s Institute for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies, Centuria is led by people with ties to Azov Battalion, and this lengthy article about how badly the infestation has manifested and penetrated a “hub for Western military assistance” to Ukraine is necessary reading, complete with details and references to cadets, Telegram, Nazi salutes and more.

The author of this article has been monitoring and documenting Centuria since 2019. The article also makes the statement that Centuria has credible claims about members having given lectures in the Azov Regiment of Ukraine’s National Guard. Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense is also noted for stating they do not screen military cadets or those entering their military for extremist views.

How deep are the historical roots of antisemitism in Ukraine? Where do I find information about this? Anyone who understands the roots and history of Azov movement and Azov Battalion will not react well to seeing announcements from news outlets such as NEXTA sharing on Twitter about “A shipment of NLAW grenade launchers and instructors from #NATO countries arrived in #Kharkiv. The Azov regimen was the first to learn about new weaponry” alongside two photos.” {109}

I refuse to rely on a Nazi supporter who tells lies, especially if they demonstrate primary interest in protecting their Nazi friends and hiding reality, because their companions also belong to groups such as the Azov Movement. Illia Ponomarenko of Kyiv Independent once made a Twitter post on 22 April 2019 about being “consecrated as an artillery guy” by Azov, and the problems in what he shares and what Kyiv Independent shares as “journalism” is much deeper than many realize {110}. How independent and objective and reliable is Kyiv Independent, as a news source?

Swedish journalist Kajsa Eksman was barred from writing anything more for Dagens ETC despite writing 500 articles for them, for 10 years. She recently wrote an article in Svenska about Swedish newspapers collaborating with a newspaper whose defense reporter has been “front-placed with the Nazist Azovbataljonen”, and she is referring to Illia Ponomarenko’s ties to the Azov Battalion. She made a Facebook Post about being terminated {111}. People on Twitter also shared her story {112}. Have you seen her article {113}?

If you are using any “reporting” from Nazi sympathizers or Nazis without verification, to shape facts about what you want to believe, and you are unaware until someone decides to inform you accurately?

Please. Stop.

Many Jews have been raped, tortured, butchered, purged because of the historical tragedy of genocide now formally remembered by many countries as the Holocaust, and part of what contributed to this horrible genocide included USA’s Associated Press willingly transforming into a key channel for Nazi propaganda to conform with the demands of Nazi Germany during World War II, in order to “report” from Nazi Germany. Stop empowering Nazis. Stop using their lies as news, to mislead others. Stop disseminating fake news. Stop allowing yourself to be used to spread lies.

Stop.

Please stop continuing this twisted empowerment method of evil from the time of Nazi Germany in World War II. Identify if your source is a Nazi sympathizer or Nazi who is perpetuating lies about the subject, and stop relying on them, stop whitewashing them, and stop being a coward in making excuses for them because if you choose to continue doing so, your choices reveal more than holes in your character and ethics. What should you label yourself when you look in the mirror, if you choose to continue empowering Nazis and/or Nazism despite knowing all this?

Speaking of Nazis, what sources fed you fairytales about a Ghost of Kiev? In early March 2022, anyone who had awareness of war propaganda or a decent preliminary grasp of the actual situation on the ground was labeling such a story as fake news, but these people were unfairly labelled as Russian trolls or worse by ignorant people who did not question the information bombarding them. Were Kyiv Independent and NEXTA the primary culprits? Or was it the Ukraine Government’s official Twitter account which made a certain post on 27 February?

Compare the contents of articles in Hindustan Times and OpIndia reporting about this fabrication {114} {115}, against other articles written by media sources in Western Europe or the two biggest countries in North America. Which articles are sufficiently informative?

The first rule of not being easily manipulated as a useful fool is to carefully verify the reliability of what you deem as sources worth sharing, and proceed with caution before sharing. Always doublecheck headlines of articles with contents. Genuine errors mixed with intentional errors can be expected, during war. Ghost of Kiev {116}, soldiers who died on Snake Island {117}, supposed bombing of the Babi Yar monument disproved by Yedioth Ahronoth reporter Ron Ben Yishai in Ukraine {118}- These were thoroughly debunked by certain sources within a few days of them first being reported.

You might be cynical because I used a source for {117} widely touted by people of certain beliefs who will refuse to believe, because RT is touted as unreliable propaganda by many Western countries. I have zero interest in asking you to believe. I am telling you to verify for yourself, instead of being lazy. Pay attention to the Tweeter’s post, using an RT video dated 1 March 2022. Pay attention to the contents of the video, especially the first half of the video.

After being consistently bombarded by various narratives in English from the most widely-accessed international media sources for at least three months since February 2022, you are likely to have certain beliefs about numerous dead Russian generals because of deadly military clashes between Russia and Ukraine, Russia being amateurishly inept and logistically dimwitted and completely inhumane towards Ukrainian and Russian troops in this war, Russian tanks being easy targets, Ukraine possibly winning the war, etc.

Please pay attention to three recent Washington Post articles published in late-May 2022 and early-June 2022, screen-capped here for those who cannot access them.

The article for 26 May 2022 is titled “Ukrainian volunteer fighters in the east feel abandoned” and does not start, continue nor end well {119}. What would you think, with an introduction along the lines of “Stuck in their trenches, the Ukrainian volunteers lived off a potato per day as Russian forces pounded them with artillery and Grad rockets on a key eastern front line. Outnumbered, untrained and clutching only light weapons, the men prayed for the barrage to end- And for their own tanks to stop targeting the Russians”?

The article for 28 May 2022 is titled “Ukraine war volunteers are coming home, reckoning with difficult fight” {120}. The article contains many details about foreign volunteers fighting for Ukraine being underequipped, outgunned, unavoidably seeing friends die in horrible ways during battle, developing a sense of dread in being strafed by Russian helicopters, swarms of sophisticated drones with thermal tracking, facing constant rocket hail- This article is terribly uninspiring.

The article for 3 June has the bluntest headline, when evaluating the pattern of headlines from Washington Post. What do you think, when you see ‘They are in Hell’: Russian artillery tests Ukrainian morale” as a title {121}?

Can we believe lines such as “Ukrainian troops dove under their tank, screaming at Washington Post reporters to take cover with them” or “Having reached its 100th day, the war between Russia and Ukraine is now at a demoralizing stage for many Ukrainian soldiers”? There are people on social media who have been making claims since March 2022 about heavy losses by Ukrainian military, ignorant foreign volunteers going to die in Ukraine because they are unprepared for the power of a conventional army unlike their previous military combat experience in other countries such as Iraq or Syria, and all sorts of claims including Ukrainian troops feeling abandoned or surrendering to Russian military.

If these articles by Washington Post are a shock to you to discover in the month of June 2022, then you need to start being heavily skeptical toward whatever sources fed you a palatable version of events differing from reality to mislead you, and start finding other sources for reliable news about this mess involving Russia and Ukraine. It is old news, for those who have been closely following actual reality. It is ultimately sad news, because ignorant support further empowers those who have the luxury of sacrificing others and don’t have to reap the consequences, as these irresponsible elites send Ukrainians and other foreigners to become battle fodder against the Russian military.

I share one more article by the American journalist living in Donbass who gave interviews to LNR’s Minister of Natural Resources and Ecological Safety as well as LNR’s Deputy Foreign Minister. Unlike that article about ecocide, this article on a different site by the same journalist is an article which I cannot completely agree with, but agree with more than 60% of its contents. What is useful about the article are any relevant facts with links which can be assessed, and up to you to assess and verify the opinions of the author which are dependent on the validity and relevancy of details connected or extrapolated to them.

This article published in October 2019 attempts to summarize the roots responsible for the start of the Azov Movement and Pravy Sektor, while incorporating other aspects, including Mariupol and certain members of the American Ukrainian diaspora {122}. This article is not for people who do not want to face details about crimes such as rape and torture by these terrorists, since the journalist lived in those areas through the time periods of the Azov Movement terrorizing people living in Mariupol, and he also did discreet interviews with a few people living there.

Can someone help me verify if Stepan Bandera called for the assassination of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1933, because that American President rejected “Ukrainian nationalist groups and his lack of willingness to support Adolf Hitler”? Ana Soroka mentioned the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN-B). If you question certain details mentioned in this article which will fly above the heads of more than 95% of the current global population, such as the claim about reverence from the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA) for Bandera’s extremist nationalist views of an ethnically-pure Europe?

These details were also corroborated by a different journalist published on Alternet, and Salon chose to publish his article on 25 February 2014 which quoted journalist Ross Bellant claiming the non-profit UCCA constitutes “complete OUN-B fronts” {123}. The Salon article highlights reprehensible facts about Svoboda and also looks at the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, while sharing details such as President Reagan welcoming Stepan Bandera’s top deputy Yaroslav Stetsko into the White House in 1983. What the President said to a Nazi collaborator who murdered Jews in Lvov makes me reel mentally.

Yarasav Stetsko’s wife is Slava Stetsko, and her beliefs should be compulsory reading, if you want to understand her connection and influence to certain parts of the Ukrainian diaspora living in USA. Connections and details between Slava Stetsko, Roman Zvarych, and Dmytro Yarosh of Pravy Sektor must be investigated.

If the October 2019 article on saker.is is accurate with regards to certain members of the American Ukrainian diaspora and specific definition of American Ukrainian nationalists: Americans have a significant problem inside and outside Congress in USA, which has been affecting American citizens and Ukrainian citizens for too many years, and this problem within Congress must be tackled ASAP so the issue of Ukraine will eventually be fairly decided upon by Congress.

Towards the end, the author of the article raises a question which you might deem unfair and accusatory, because there have been no references to help you on the matter: “Why is Ukraine’s new president allowed to blatantly lie about the current situation in Ukraine?”

This is a serious accusation which must be verified or debunked. If the accusation is true, the current President of Ukraine must answer to Ukrainians and the global public, and current official stances on Ukraine or Russia from various countries must officially change. We must evaluate how Zelensky has chosen to deal with Russia’s government and their claims during his presidency prior to the military tragedy with Russia now happening in 2022, and how he has dealt with soldiers under his leadership and the situation with Russia during 100 days of military conflict with Russia.

If President Volodymyr Zelensky knows and/or works with any Nazism-propagating revolutionary ultranationalist groups such as C14, Pravy Sektor, Centuria, or Azov Movement- If he has presented falsified details to the global public or governments of any other countries about those Nazi groups or the Ukrainian government’s actions or stances under his Presidency relative to Russia? Intentions behind all his statements as Ukraine’s President (including 23 February 2022) is unreliable, then such a reality must be publicly denounced by all countries, and appropriate official actions by world leaders of all countries must be undertaken to help Ukrainians.

This is a necessary scenario to tackle because of Ukraine’s Nazi Germany collaborators going unpunished when at least 1.5 million Jews were murdered in Ukraine by those monsters, there is seriously worrying evidence of Nazism infesting societal institutions in Western Ukraine and the Ukrainian government, and also because Ukraine’s President chose to use his Jewish background to claim, “But how can a people who gave more than eight million lives for the victory over Nazism support Nazism? How could I be a Nazi? Tell that to my grandfather, who went through the entire war in the infantry of the Soviet Army and died as a colonel in independent Ukraine.”

If President Volodymyr Zelensky has not committed any lies which would harm any current or potential future allies believing him, then all the praise currently lionizing him in the media of Western Europe and North America is deserved, and he deserves the support of the world.

Jews in Israel are understandably proud of him, given the adulation in media from those countries and what has been attributed to his current standing as a fellow Jew {124}. Volodymyr Zelensky is the descendant of a Holocaust survivor. His grandfather fought Nazis in World War II, all three siblings of his grandfather were killed by the Nazis, and many of his relatives perished in the Holocaust.

Stepan Bandera is despicable and anathema to any Jew who understands the basic background of Stepan Bandera, history of Nazism, Ukraine’s role in aiding Nazi Germany, the Holocaust, and antisemitism. When the Embroidery March took place in Kiev on 28 April 2021, hundreds of people watched 300 people fervently participating in the event {125}. This event glorified Nazi collaborators, and President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the marches with an official statement.

This statement should be compared to what he told RBC-Ukraine, which published an article on 18 April 2019 about his views on various subjects {126}. The article has also been commented on by other sources {127}. In the interview, Zelensky classified Stepan Bandera as an indisputable hero, while claiming it is cool and normal for Stepan Bandera to be a hero for certain Ukrainians, since Stepan Bandera was one of the Ukrainians who defended the freedom of Ukraine.

How do you defend this glaring disparity?

Bernard Henri-Lévy claims to have met Zelensky before the election in 2019, and asked Zelensky how he could become the President of the country of #Babiyar. According to Bernard Henri- Lévy in his Substack article which was shared on Twitter, Zelensky said there is less antisemitism in Ukraine than in France, and much less than in Russia {128}.

The article which accused Zelensky of lying about Ukraine in 2019 also made a very disparaging remark about President Volodymyr Zelensky going to Zolote in 2019. What transpired in Zolote alongside accusations of Zelensky covering for Neo-Nazis and Nazism is summarized here {129}. What happened in Zolote and the consequences demonstrate how Azov Movement cannot be controlled. None of the Nazism-propagating ultranationalist groups can be controlled by anyone, if you remember the words of C14’s Yevhen Karas and Pravy Sektor’s Andriy Tarasenko.

Unfortunately, there are numerous instances of President Zelensky working with Nazis {130}. Defending him seems impossible.

On 20 April 2021, The New York Times quoted Dmytro Kotsyubaylo in their article while acknowledging him as a Pravy Sektor commander. The article also mentions the cage containing a pet wolf, kept by a volunteer unit of Pravy Sektor outside this commander’s office. Dmytro Kotyubyalo jokes that he feeds it the bones of Russian children, and The New York Times journalist attributes it to referencing “Russian state media tropes about evils of Ukrainian nationalists” {131}.

On 1 December 2021, President Volodymyr Zelensky shook hands and awarded Dmytro Kotsyubaylo with the title of “Hero of Ukraine” {132}. The Voxukraine.org source which claims to be a reliable fact-checker against Russian propaganda also claims The New York Times article took Dmytro Kotsyubaylo’s joke out of context. This fact-checking source has already been proved to be primarily wrong about their claims regarding Russia’s concern about “ultra-right” “Right-wing radicals” “extreme right” lacking in support within society, if you look at the honesty of C14’s Yevhen Karas, Twitter timeline and Facebook page of the Director-General of Ukraine’s Jewish Committee, and other sources I have shared in this entire article, alongside too many examples of fanatical nationalism.

As to the other portions of VoxUkraine.org’s fact-checking article, you can evaluate and decide for yourself. Given the history of Pravy Sektor, how does the fact-checker overlook facts reported in sources such as Spiegel International, about the xenophobic views of Dymtro Yarosh against Russians {133}? Leader of Pravy Sektor from 2013 to 2015, he has proudly proclaimed himself a follower of Stepan Bandera {134}. In March 2014, Pravy Sektor declared it was ready to go to war with Russia, and also stated Dymtro Yarosh would run for President in May 2014 {135}. On 2 November 2021, Dymtro Yarosh was appointed by President Zelensky as advisor to Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Army.

Has anyone factchecked mainstream media about the claim of “Azov is only a fringe movement!”? Since plenty of people who claim they are “pro-Ukrainian” refuse to look at any reporting from people whom they label as Russian trolls and shills pushing unreliable enemy propaganda, how about two articles from anti-Putin anti-Russia website known as Bellingcat, with regards to Ukraine’s Ministry of Veteran Affairs and Azov Movement?

“Ukrainian Far Right Fighters, White Supremacists trained by Major European Security Firm” published on 30 August 2018 by Oleksiy Kuzmenko is not the headline I would have chosen when describing appalling support and incorporation into Ukraine’s National Guard, which the Azov Movement received from Ukraine’s powerful former Minister of Internal Affairs {136}. The entire article should be digested, followed by “Ukraine’s Ministry of Veteran Affairs Embraced the Far Right- With Consequences to the USA” published on 11 November 2019 {137}.

Maybe you prefer to ignore “Twitter is strangling Freedom of Speech to Death” by pro-Russia pro-Putin Jake Morphonios of Blackstone Intelligence, published on 17 April 2022. Sharing details and images of children being brainwashed to hate Russia and becoming pro-Bandera fans might be disturbing to some people, especially those who despise Stepan Bandera and all details Nazi-related. You may refuse to accept a photograph of President Volodymyr Zelensky sitting at a table with C14’s Yevhen Karas, Azov’s Dmytro Shatrovsky alongside Zelensky’s Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories, IDPs and Veterans. You may even reject the caption claiming the Ukrainian Ministry of Veteran Affairs has a 34-seat oversight and advisory board, this board being staffed completely by members of the Veterans Movement of Ukraine (VMU) which was co-founded by Azov Movement.

Can you explain why the 2019 article on anti-Russia anti-Putin website Bellingcat mentions Ukraine’s President conferring with certain ultranationalists as leaders of Ukraine’s veterans, and tries to explain the key roles of C14 and Azov? Their representatives are leaders of the VMU and completely dominate the VMU as representatives of Ukraine’s veterans in the Ukrainian government. These Nazism-perpetuating ultranationalists literally constitute the leadership of the Ministry of Veteran Affairs.

And this sad reality can be traced to Ukraine’s Petro Poroshenko, who became President only after the 2014 Maidan coup which is wrongly hailed by too many ignorant people and experts today as a positive revolution. Democratically-elected President Viktor Yanukovych would have continued as President instead of Petro Poroshenko, but he was illegally deposed by the 2014 Maidan coup. President Viktor Yanukovych had decided to revoke his predecessor’s decree to posthumously honor Stepan Bandera, which Reuters reported as a decision by President Viktor Yushchenko angering “Russia, Poland and Jewish rights groups” {138}. New York Times and Moscow Times also had news articles on this decision by President Yanukovich. Find both articles, and compare the reporting for yourself.

What is also interesting are the views and research of Ukrainian sociologists such as Volodymyr Ishchenko, about the events of Maidan and the advantages in such circumstances and geography possessed by “radical nationalists” such as the Svoboda political party and Pravy Sektor, enabling them to succeed {139}. In short, Maidan was a coup, not a revolution, and anybody who legitimately believes and says otherwise has been spreading false narratives.

If you find yourself in agreement with Nazism-loving revolutionary ultranationalist Yevhen Karas about the events of 2014 Maidan being a change for Ukraine as he and other revolutionary ultranationalists intended with its desired outcome matching his goals, you need to stop backing the wrong side of history. You are ultimately harming Ukraine and Russia and the rest of our world.

If you read the 2019 article, it will make you flinch because details revealed tells you who always has to back down and who is in charge, when the VMU clashes with Zelensky.

Did you ever hear about Sergey Sivokho, tasked by President Zelensky to create a National Platform for Reconciliation and Unity? On 12 March 2020, Azov Battalion showed the adviser to the head of Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council exactly how they viewed him and the idea of reintegrating Donetsk and Luhansk into Ukraine, at the public conference. Cursed, shoved, aptly flattened into near-equality of dirt from shoes of men who simply wanted him to be grounded in reality, Sergey Sivokho was simply being reminded by Azov of Ukraine’s leadership reality. If you did not know about this, try finding the original non-English article which reported on this matter.

Would you deem it a necessary urgent concern, with regards to vital history of Ukrainian revolutionary ultranationalist groups engaging in genocidal evil of the Holocaust and mass extermination of Polish people during World War II being whitewashed and distorted to conform to a revisionist noble history of Ukraine moving toward Independence? This is the work of Ukrainian historians such as Volodymyr Viatrovych, at a Ukrainian government organization known as the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, whereby he and other historians are in charge of Ukraine’s complete set of archives which involves millions of historical documents {140}. This article is essential reading, detailing what needs to be preserved and what is being distorted, and is screen-capped here {141}.

This article is essential reading to understand why many streets and monuments in Western Ukraine are dedicated to Bandera or glorifying the OUN-UPA, and to also understand why Ukrainians in Southern Ukraine and Eastern Ukraine such as Luhansk and Crimea behave in a completely different manner by having monuments dedicated to the victims of OUN-UPA. This article also claims Viatrovych is willing to ignore actual history or falsify historical documents, which worries Western historians who have debunked his work.

Would you deem it a necessary urgent concern, that the Ukrainian Parliament in 2018 officially designated January 1 as a national holiday in accordance with the birthday of a Nazi collaborator, and this vile figure is Stepan Bandera {142}? Western Ukraine’s biggest national hero is a genocidal World War II Nazi, and anyone who is a Jew should not be supporting or praising this vile maniac or providing any support to modern-day supporters of Stepan Bandera.

Stepan Bandera should be denounced as permanently and internationally as the Holocaust and the criminals of Nazi Germany, such as the unrepentant Adolf Eichmann who had no remorse for exterminating Jews {143}.

“Had we put 10.3 million Jews to death then I would be content and say ‘Good, we have destroyed the enemy’. It is a difficult thing to say and I know I will be judged for it, but it is the truth.”

Adolf Eichmann took pride in his crimes against Jews, smugly provided statistics, and expressed venomous antisemitic sentiments while boasting about the complex components and logistics of Hitler’s Nazi killing systems for Jews. What he told Dutch journalist Willem Sassen which amounted to 70 hours of audio was inexplicably not used in his trials. The world should pay attention to the words of Adolf Eichmann in these tapes, especially if you are not genetically pure enough for Stepan Bandera’s “ethnically Ukrainian” independent state that he wanted to create.

And before you waffle about Stepan Bandera possibly not being antisemite, because you claim there is no publicly available evidence establishing him as an antisemite despite the crimes against Jews committed by OUN-UPA? Stepan Bandera is a war criminal whose revolting inhumane ideology easily inspires genocidal crimes against people which have been dehumanized. His aims appear to be to win, by all means necessary.

The Institute of National Remembrance is based in Warsaw and its goals are to inform and popularize the history of crimes against the Polish nation during periods such as World War II, for prosecution {144}. Stepan Bandera is not just any terrorist, but a terrorist who combined religion with extremism for his own goals. The ideology of OUN is what he endorsed, and their “Decalogue of a Ukrainian Nationalist” is easily tuned to genocidal tendencies, beyond barbaric.

Top 10 Commandments include “You will not hesitate to commit even the greatest crime, if the good of the cause demands it” and “With hatred and deceit you will treat the enemies of your nation”.

If you intend to support people who popularize and endorse Stepan Bandera’s ideology, you empower the historical evil of Nazi Germany against minorities such as Jews and the descendants of such evil, because the ideology of the Ukrainians who collaborated with Nazi Germany and were never prosecuted for their genocidal crimes live on. And their ideology has flourished throughout the decades, now a vibrant cancer in Western Ukraine. Unfortunately, those who fight this malignant cancer, such as Edoard Dolinsky, are ignored.

It seems only the Russian government is willing to take on the ideological descendants of the Third Reich, after suffering decades of betrayal by NATO members and also unable to continue tolerating more than 8 years of war crimes in Donbass against Russian-friendly Ukrainians which has been ignored by almost the entire wave of international Western media.

We should have a modern scholarly clarification once and for all as to who was more barbaric and genocidal for a revolutionary ultranationalist cause: Croatia’s Ustaša or Stepan Bandera’s OUN-UPA. But before we can have a clear-enough comparison, we need to clearly see and resolve this mess between Russia and Ukraine.

Remember Adolf Eichmann, when you hear the name of Stepan Bandera. Like Martin Luther King Jr., Ultranationalist Stepan Bandera had a dream. Unlike Martin Luther King Jr., his vision was to create a new one-party authoritarian fascist Aryan state without national minorities, while his supporters and collaborators hunted down and killed Jews and Poles and other minorities for the purity of their dream {145}.

With regards to children and Azov, how about Guardian’s 2014 video titled “Ukraine’s far-right children camp: I want to bring up a warrior” {146}? Carefully observe the tattoos and insignias on adults in the video, especially the instructors of an Azov summer camp. On 9 September 2014, NBC published an article with pictures titled “German TV shows Nazi symbols on helmets of Ukraine soldiers {147}. The most interesting detail from the video shot by Norwegian broadcaster TV2 and aired by German public broadcaster ZDF are the replies from a spokesman of the Azov Battalion. Despite soldiers wearing insignia once used by Hitler’s infamous elite corps or swastikas on their gear, the spokesman can claim Azov Battalion has no fascist tendencies and “merely Ukrainian nationalists”.

Why use the same insignia from Hitler’s Nazi Germany? For fun? Modern soldiers officially choosing to use heinous genocidal antisemitic symbols decades after World War II are completely different from civilians picking which color you prefer on a pair of sport shoes.

Please read “Bandera, Ukraine and the Holocaust Part II” by the All History team, published on 22 January 2015 {148}. If you wanted to give Stepan Bandera and the revolutionary ultranationalists the benefit of the doubt, this even-handed article of nuanced summary should fairly enlighten you about your beliefs. History is not a Marvel movie and if you find yourself constantly favoring movies which have clearly-delineated heroes and villains, you will cope badly with reality outside of oversimplistic fantasies concocted by screen executives with artistic liberties whose goals are to ultimately distract you from reality while earning your repeated monied approval.

Were you aware of the uproar in the Greek Parliament on 7 April 2022 from many Parliament members holding different political views within the opposition and ruling parties but united in their stance against Nazis, when President Zelensky’s speech to the Parliament also involved a video from a member of the Azov Battalion {149}? “The speech of members of the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion in the Greek Parliament is a provocation…The solidarity with the Ukrainian people is a given. But the Nazis cannot have a say in Parliament,” said Alexis Tsipras, leader of Syriza.

Left-wing MeRA25 party founded by former Greek Minister of Finance Ioannis Varoufakis labelled the horrendous incident as a “Nazi Fiesta” {150}. Former Prime Minister of Greece Antonis Samaras, a member of the party New Democracy, lambasted the video shown in the Hellenic Parliament as a “huge mistake”. Some Greek Members of Parliament also walked out.

Why is President Zelensky giving a Nazi credence in his address, from the Azov Battalion which is the armed wing of the Azov Movement?

When someone labels Lvov in Ukraine as the Nazi capital of the world and goes into details and statistics involving World War II to modern times with a focus on horrible crimes such as torture and murder inflicted on Jews, can you debunk or dispute the information they have provided {151}? In 2014, 15000 people marched through Kiev to honor Stepan Bandera. Marches also occurred in other cities of Western Ukraine, such as Lvov.

Other than Ukraine, can you name another country which has football stadiums of citizens glorifying Nazi salutes while chanting slogans glorifying Nazi collaborators? Other than Ukraine, can you name another country which has hundreds of streets and places and monuments dedicated to honoring Nazism or Nazi collaborators? Other than Ukraine, can you name another country which has so many examples of honoring Nazi collaborators and antisemitism in their school boards, city councils, military or other government institutions? Other than Ukraine, can you name another country which has official annual marches commemorating Nazism and Nazi collaborators? Other than Ukraine, can you name another country which is full of daily and annual examples involving all the above?

Bring forth any Nazi evils in Russia. If and when you do so, please also explain how and why you are unaware of extensive Nazism flourishing officially and unofficially in Western Ukraine, and the disparities in your understanding of reality within Russia and Ukraine.

Is the Russian government’s assertion of Ukraine needing to be de-Nazified accurate? Would you want Ukraine as your neighboring country, only sharing a land border? Do you think Russia’s government has justified concerns about Ukraine’s government and their treatment of Russian-friendly Ukrainians living outside Western Ukraine and still within Ukraine?

The push for a “No-Fly Zone” and all other requests to the international community pertaining to weapons and measures isolating Russia leads to painfully necessary questions. Does Zelensky understand the consequences of asking for a No-Fly zone? If he understands, is Zelensky aiming to drag other countries into this conflict to fight Russia on his behalf, and does not mind causing World War III in the process? Is he making statements and decisions primarily as a leader for his people, or are there other people such as oligarchs able to exert conditions which dictate what he says or chooses? Depending on his words and actions, does Ukraine’s current president care for Ukrainians or is he using them for goals which do not prioritize them?

We have to ask all these questions, because of ugly unavoidable reality which has been highlighted and shared here. Before we look at primarily relevant declassified historical papers which are essential knowledge and ignored by a majority of social media users, there is an issue of chemical weapons to consider.

On 8 March 2022, in response to Senator Marco Rubio posing the question of whether Ukraine has chemical or biological weapons, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland did not say yes or no. She gave an answer which only raises many questions.

“Ukraine has uh, biological research facilities which in fact, we are now quite concerned Russian troops- Russian forces may be seeking to uh, gain control of. We are working with the Ukrainians on how they can prevent any of those research materials from falling into the hands of Russian forces should they approach.”{152}

The entire video of the Senate hearing spanning approximately 2 hours 20 minutes can be found on C-Span, and Marco Rubio starts his questioning at 36:48. The entire hearing will raise many questions, and is worth watching.

As of 2020, Ukraine is the poorest country in Europe. USA has recently lent Ukraine 1 billion USD and 3.5 billion USD respectively, according to a Tweet posted by President Zelenskiy to “Thank you POTUS for the quick decision and concrete results after our conversation” on 15 February 2022 {153}.

What is this money going to? When and why did Ukraine inform USA of these biological research facilities? Where are these biological research facilities? What has been produced in these facilities? If the research in these biological research facilities is for the good of Ukraine’s citizens and there is nothing to worry about, why is the current USA administration working with the current Ukrainian government to prevent these research materials from being obtained by Putin’s government? What are the ownership details for these labs? What is the protocol for all biological research labs which should provide zero diplomatic immunity to anybody working on such premises, summaries of projects being available for public perusal on the laboratory websites, while aiming to safeguard sovereignty and prevent indirect control by any foreign powers while adhering to standards accountable to the international community as well as citizens of that sovereign country, according to international conventions? Does such a protocol exist?

In 2014, Victoria Nuland was the Assistant Secretary of State. She had to apologize to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, for insulting the European Union using words such as “Fuck the EU” {154}. This was due to a recording being posted online, allegedly between Victoria Nuland and the US ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt. The entire fiasco was reported by the BBC, including the link to the Youtube video of the recording {155}.

The insult was not the worst of the audio contents, because what was ultimately revealed was the Assistant Secretary of State discussing with the US ambassador to Ukraine about who should and should not be in Ukraine’s government with regards to the Ukrainian opposition, thereby giving a glimpse of the extent of meddling by a foreign power in Ukraine {156}. If you are in doubt about the source and authenticity of the audio upload, it has also been reported with more context by other news sources {157}. If this happened to another country such as Malaysia or Japan or Saudi Arabia or Spain, would the citizens find such interference acceptable?

What did Obama say about Ukraine, when Victoria Nuland was working in his administration? If you have no experience with declassified papers, the smartest approach to evaluating words by a politician in an interview or speech is to evaluate the actual wording, evaluate any relevant papers or public information relative to those words for the relevant topic, and be prepared to ignore the views of an interviewer whose projected biases may color how they frame their questions, how they frame their perception of words they receive or their assumed beliefs about the politician being interviewed.

This leakage of authentic meddling resulted in Mark Mardell of BBC writing an opinion piece in 2014 which includes, “Swearing scornfully about your allies isn’t great diplomacy – but it is the revelation of the depth of the US involvement in the Ukraine crisis that really catches the eye… After all the NSA revelations, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s umbrage at them, saying a naughty word about the main players in the region is excruciatingly awkward. But it’s the larger conversation, which shows the US is manipulating Ukraine just as much as Russia, that is the real diplomatic disaster.” {158}

The question and extent of USA and Russia meddling or manipulating Ukraine requires a book of honest consistent collation and evaluation of information for a reliable comparison and preliminary conclusion, and I would not be relying on any source or individual which cannot display enough nuance and balanced sensibility on this tangled mess of Russia and Ukraine.

Spokesman for China’s Foreign Ministry Zhao Lijian has claimed USA is the only country opposing the setting up of a system of multilateral verifications mechanisms for Biological Weapons Convention for the past twenty years, claims USA is the only country which has not destroyed its chemical weapons, and claims USA has twice missed deadlines {159}. Gary Samore, former senior official in the National Security Council under President Bill Clinton and President Barack Obama, speaks of problems establishing a verification system for the Biological Weapons Convention while also referencing other countries and details {160}. Read both references, then do your own research, because these sources are inadequate for one to reach a reliable conclusion.

Every claim must be measured, then verified or debunked, but not through using faulty information or lies. The world is much bigger than North America and Western Europe. Outside of those regions and USA and China, whether you are pro-USA and anti-China, or pro-China and anti-USA, or perhaps you evaluate issues as they are instead of wholly backing one of these two countries because choosing to give ignorant fanservice is ridiculously primitive? Intelligent sane people in civilized advanced societies do not automatically classify spokespeople of other countries as spouting lies and propaganda even if they disagree or intensely dislike what is first voiced. Cautiously determining accurate truth is essential.

Russia requested for a United Nations Security Council Meeting on 11 March 2022, to discuss military and biological activities of USA on Ukraine. Before you accuse Russia of having chemical weapons or wanting to acquire chemical weapons for nefarious purposes, here is vital recent history. On 27 September 2017, Director-General of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Ambassador Ahmet Üzümcü said, “The completion of the verified destruction of Russia’s chemical weapons programme is a major milestone in the achievement of the goals of the Chemical Weapons Convention. I congratulate Russia and I commend all of their experts who were involved for their professionalism and I also express my appreciation to the States Parties that assisted the Russian Federation with its destruction program and thank the OPCW staff who verified the destruction.” {161}

Associated Press reported this, which was also shared by Military Times {162}. USA is supposed to be on track to destroy their own chemical weapons stockpiles by end-2023, which is a projection. Paul Walker published a detailed article in Arms Control Association during December 2019, writing about other countries while also including more details about how this came about for Russia {163}.

He wrote, “This was a major accomplishment for Russia and the OPCW, achieved partly due to $2-3 billion in foreign funding from the U.S. CTR program and the Global Partnership. On-site and national facilitation and public outreach was led by Green Cross International, an independent, nonprofit environmental group, and its Russian national affiliate, Green Cross Russia. Much credit must also go to the dedicated OPCW inspectors who worked on-site at every chemical weapons stockpile site to verify that every kilogram and every weapon was indeed destroyed permanently and safely.”

There is insufficient space here to fully cover Ukraine’s wholly-unaddressed Nazi problem, which has metastasized into a vibrant cancer within Western Ukraine. You would need to compile the equivalent thickness of a dictionary, as a detailed start towards all relevant information. This heinous evil of antisemitism has been ignored for too long, and it is beyond horrific to see governments and people worldwide supporting and arming and defending and whitewashing such heinous evil. Are you aware of Ukraine’s Nazi influence stretching beyond Ukraine?

Terrorist Brenton Tarrant, who murdered 51 Muslims peacefully worshipping at a mosque in New Zealand’s Christchurch in 2019 and was denounced by New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden, has been to Ukraine from 19 August 2015 to 8 September 2015, while also travelling to more than 30 countries between 2014 to 2017 such as Russia, USA, Indonesia, Turkey, Spain, China, Armenia, India, Georgia, Hungary, Philippines, Vietnam, France, Myanmar, Japan and Thailand {162}. He wore Nazi symbols which are also used by the Azov Battalion honoring Nazi Germany on his flak jacket during his shooting spree. Payton Gendron, who murdered 10 black people in a supermarket in USA’s Buffalo, writes in his antisemitic 180-page manifesto that the terrorist in Christchurch was his greatest inspiration {164}.

Sonnenrad, the black sun, is an insignia originally used by Nazi Germany and now propagated by Nazism-supporting espousers. ABC News published an article on 10 April 2019 by Canadian journalist Michael Colborne, who lives in Ukraine {165}. Michael wrote about seeing hundreds of mostly-teenage Azov Movement members marching through Kiev, bearing the Sonnenrad and certain tattoos. He writes what he read in the Christchurch shooter’s manifesto, about an ethno-state with no regard for democracy. He speaks of Wotanjugend, which he labels a neo-Nazi group with Russian roots based in Kiev as actively promoting the Christchurch shooter’s manifesto.

On 4 September 2019, Michael Colborne and Oleksiy Kuzmenko published an article on Bellingcat titled “The Hardcore Russian Neo-Nazi Group That Calls Ukraine Home” {166}. This article on Wotanjugend is hugely illuminating, given the international brotherhood and connections they have fostered. Wotanjugend’s heroes include Hitler, Anders Breivik and Timothy McVeigh. As a nugget of bonus trivia from this article, would you be surprised to learn many Russian nationalists are supposedly anti-Kremlin and anti-Putin?

I am curious as to whether the Kremlin has a detailed list of Ukrainian revolutionary ultranationalists and Russian Nazi-honoring nationalists currently in Ukraine, for “de-nazifying”.

When you look at an article published on 24 February 2020 in Atlantic Council about “Why the Azov should not be designated a foreign terrorist organization” and weigh it up against all the information presented here {167}, does the article in the Atlantic Council help clarify and bolster the case the author is making, or is the author drowning too deeply in anti-Russia bias without sufficient research for the issue while maintaining anti-Kremlin insistence? Is consistency here an end result of proper research, or is consistency here due to a bias which has distorted the ability to result in sufficient research?

Stefan Dimitrof is a Kiwi journalist with Māori Television, and has written articles for New Zealand Herald and Te Ao-Māori news. In an article about the Azov Movement titled “Social Delusion: Do you know what you are supporting in Ukraine?” published in 25 February 2022, Stefan explains why he refuses to use the flag colors of Ukraine, implores fellow Māori to be outraged and insulted and remember the whānau who put their lives on the line in the history of 900 Māori men from the 28th Māori Battalion sent to Europe and North America to fight Nazi Germany, details why caution is necessary with regards to Ukraine and Azov Battalion, while denouncing Facebook allowing a Nazi group to be celebrated and standing against Russia’s invasions of Ukraine {168}. Please read what he has to say, which includes details of at least 900,000 Jews being massacred by at least 100,000 Ukrainians joining forces with Nazi Germany.

It is horrible to watch so much of the Western world ignore, whitewash, glorify Nazism in Ukraine, while also ignoring solidly legitimate grievances by this Russian government about NATO and Ukraine. It is appalling to watch the ignorance of so much of the Western world in online discourse including media sources, which primarily empowers this ridiculous tragedy of losses and destruction because you are too easily manipulated and too egoistic to hold your leaders liable. That statement is assuming your organizations are not already undermined by other interests which have no interest in proper solutions and peace. How else can we explain so many experts and journalists currently failing at understanding primary unavoidable reality and history of this mess?

“The fascist Sieg Heil “was a gesture I would see at every soccer game I went to” has been stated in the 2012 BBC documentary “Stadiums of Hate” {169}. BBC Newsnight in 2014 interviewed Yevhen Karas, but what he said was not the only interesting detail in that short segment {170}. German news outlet Die Welt tried to downplay the Nazism of Azov Movement, and managed to completely eviscerate its article right at the beginning with their main image of Ukraine’s National Guard Azov members standing with at least three different Nazi insignia [171]. For anyone who knows their history, such as someone who pledges “Never Again” with regards to the Holocaust, the sight of these 3 symbols together is chilling. And infuriating.

Wolfsangel {172}. Sonnenrad {173}. Crest of the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS {174}. Shall keep this short and you should do your own research, because the attention span of some people is limited to one factual Tweet per image. Any Eastern Europeans supporting the current Ukraine government’s stance in this mess are obviously ignorant of reality. Any Jews supporting the current Ukraine government’s stance in this mess are obviously ignorant of reality and history. Anyone not in government who is a normal civilian without access to classified papers or confidential national security information but supports the current Ukraine government’s stance in this mess is most likely a well-meaning but sadly useful tool of ignorance.

Zelensky’s official Instagram account appears to have commemorated Victory Day over Nazism of World War II for Ukraine by sharing an image of a Ukrainian soldier proudly wearing the Totenkopf, which was a recognizable badge for the elite Nazi division of Waffen-SS in World War II {175}. And before you claim that is a fake account or the photos never happened, I witnessed this image also being shared by a Ukrainian government organization Twitter account {176}. Deleted images from both sources have already been archived.

Azov’s Twitter account is also promoting their Azov Commander Denis Prokopenko being given a momentary platform on CNN {177}. If news outlets or organizations trying to certify war crimes are getting their primary information from Nazis while failing to check such sources, this extent of professional incompetency is unacceptable and terrifying. BBC’s News at 6 lead story which aired on 25 March 2022 by Quentin Sommerville featured at least two Ukrainian soldiers “Mark” and “Vlad” in Kharkov as the main characters for their focus who are also wearing Nazi insignia, but why didn’t BBC say anything about this {178}?

If the Azov Regiment are the main sources about “war crimes” in Ukraine such as “Bucha”, be wary {179}. The Azov Regiment is also the primary force in cities such as Mariupol {180}. German reporter Thomas Röper is in Ukraine, and he is described on Wikidata as a Kremlin propagandist. He claimed Ukrainians in Melitopol are afraid of retaliation from the Azov, hence they had asked Russian soldiers not to leave {181}. He also claims German media outlets have misused his photos taken in Volnovakha such as him standing in front of a hospital, to mislead the German public {182}.

If you cannot decide whether this German journalist is telling truths or lies, we must seek other sources. What about Nadezhda Kozub of Mariupol on video identifying herself and where she lives, who claims Azov committed war crimes and explains herself {183}? How about Adrien Boquet who was formerly of the French Special Forces, has been in Ukraine for 3 weeks on a humanitarian mission and went on French SUD Radio to claim the Ukrainian Army is committing war crimes {184}? He has a lot to say, such as Azov militants being active all over the country and the Ukrainian Army hiding ammunition in residential buildings at night without telling residents {185}. How about the Danish mercenary who claims he killed Russians in combat, provided evidence and spoke to the Danish CNN equivalent, Denmark’s TV2, about the Ukrainian Army killing Russian prisoners of war as a “normal” protocol but he refused to take part in such murders {186}? Here is a translated link {187}.

If you are truly about justice and objectivity when wanting to investigate any war crimes committed by Russian military or the Ukrainian army, then we have to scrutinize all sources and check for verifiable reliable evidence and obtain an accurate measure of perspective with context. The absurdity of Nazis being endorsed as a main source of information and also given a free pass by so many mainstream Western media sources is almost unbelievable.

Australian senior investigative journalist Peter Cronau formerly of ABC’s Four Corners shared a video about Ukraine’s military turning schools, hospitals and public buildings into military targets because of their actions, such as turning schools into military warehouses {188}. The original video on ABC was taken down, but the ABC News Youtube video titled “Ukrainian volunteers mobilise as Odesa readies for war”is still available {189}.

As to how low one side can sink, I was alerted to someone unwittingly resharing a post by the Twitter account for The Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security under the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. Propaganda can be expected in war, but this was too much. After tagging Nina Byzantina, within 15 minutes she refuted the disinformation {190}.

It is sickening to see a dead Italian photojournalist’s photos from Donbass in 2014 being intentionally misused, labelled as a current situation in June 2022 pertaining to Ukrainian children under fire from Russian aggression. That said, I also have to point out Ukrainian National Guard member Vitaliy Markiv was acquitted by the Milan Court of Appeals. He was accused of being responsible for the deaths of Andy Rochelli and his Russian interpreter, a judgement was handed down by the court of Pavia, and the defense presented an appeal against the verdict.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to find a neutral objective source on this issue in English, so it is difficult to make any reliable conclusions at this point about the verdict and the acquittal. There are few sources to evaluate, and it is difficult to make conclusions. Nevertheless, evaluate these sources for yourself: Andy Rochelli’s blog has a post accusing the Ukraine government of deliberately hindering inquiries in the death of Andrea Rochelli while also denouncing Russia’s military reaction as well as propaganda and lies by any side. “L’Europeen” is a blog by Oliver Dupuis and has an article titled “The trial of Vitaly Markiv exemplifies everything wrong with Italian justice”. And ask if it truly was due to propaganda leading to such judgements, or any bungling by the courts in the process of seeking justice.

I thought I had reached a dead end in research, when it came to figuring out the finer details of what truly happened in Donbass. Andy Rochelli’s photos are about a war in Donbass in 2014, where Ukrainians have been persecuted by their own government. But according to many news sources also shared internationally, all wrongs are because of Russia’s aggressive invasive unreasonable actions for so many years in Ukraine.

Giorgio Bianchi is another Italian photojournalist. He and Anne-Laure Bonnel spoke via video conferencing at the United Nations on 6 May 2022 about their work, and what they witnessed and investigated in Eastern Ukraine. The world is silent about what Ukrainians in Donbass have suffered for more than 8 years. The silence and narratives by internationally-recommended Western media for non-Western countries about Donbass is ridiculous.

I had a theory, and I had hoped part of it will be true. But as with all theories, I am well aware of how reality will tell me the truth, if I do my research in a reliable consistent manner. The answer has been very disappointing yet unsurprising, in many aspects.

Anne-Laure Bonnel says the 2022 Russian offensive is a tragedy for Ukraine, but also spoke about the Odessa massacre and other French journalists who were in relevant areas of Ukraine and can corroborate her claims about crimes by the Ukrainian Army against Ukrainians living in Eastern Ukraine since 2014 {191}. Videos are submitted of Ukrainians speaking out against the Azov Regiment, accusing them of abuse of civilians and deploying weapons in residential areas.

Giorgio Bianchi identifies as an independent reporter and speaks of European propaganda, when it is his turn {192}. He speaks of the impossibility of the public forming an objective opinion about the reality on the ground in this conflict, when Russian media is censored and Europe’s mainstream media is aligned completely on only one narrative with regards to Ukraine. He has been in Ukraine, speaks of civilians being used as human shields by Ukrainian soldiers and militia, and interviewed the likes of Mariana Vishegirskaya while collecting testimonies. He risks being arrested, if he re-enters Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Twitter blue-checkmark accounts such as Christian Fuchs of Die Welt make a Twitter thread claiming Ukrainian Mariana Vishegirskaya is a symbol of Putin’s war crimes and is under Russian control. I saw 2 comments to that thread, which need to be quoted here:

“Sir – Giorgio Bianchi is in Russia’s pocket. He’s spreading propaganda targeted at people like you. Just like Patrick Lancaster does for the English speaking West. Involved with RT – you know: that RT that is openly for censorship. Because “YouTube can not be controlled” {193}.

In reply to this comment, a photo of Giorgio Bianchi standing next to Mariana Vishegirskaya was posted, him having one arm around her and both clearly comfortable, and part of the rebuttal goes “Yeah, they also kidnapped the Italian journalist that interviewed her.” {194}

Do you think you need to start questioning everything you have been reading? If you have been paying attention to international Western media for at least 20 years, you should be aware that when it comes to wars or issues of certain political bias, you will be disappointed if you believe you are adequately informed. Iraq. Libya. The shameful abandonment of Afghanistan. Israel-Palestine conflict. This tragedy involving Russian and Ukraine is yet another example of a greater tragedy of infantile misleading journalism and over-bloated ignorant egos of too many “experts” not realizing how wrong they have been about this entire mess while pontificating to vulnerable audiences whose research skills are worse than them.

We need unavoidable primary relevant history. I have seen mentions of history related to the Soviet Union as attempts to shred Putin’s credibility on his claims, but is such history relevant? How and where is it relevant? Exploring Putin’s claims on NATO expansion is necessary. Certain declassified documents from the archives of USA and Russia, alongside two pieces of essential history are necessary: Cuban Missile Crisis and Wolfowitz Doctrine.

The Cuban Missile Crisis is a necessary example of how Russia and USA could resolve tensions between both countries, but also an example of how disaster almost happened because of insufficient dialogue between the proper parties and channels {195}. President Kennedy was informed of President Khrushchev’s plan to have Russian missiles positioned in Cuba. His reaction was understandable. He insisted the USSR not have offensive weapons in Cuba, any missile bases in Cuba be immediately dismantled, and a naval “quarantine” was initiated because naval forces were deployed. DEFCON 3 readiness was announced.

“It shall be the policy of this nation to regard any nuclear missile launched from Cuba against any nation in the Western Hemisphere as an attack by the Soviet Union on the United States, requiring a full retaliatory response upon the Soviet Union.”

President Khruschev insisted USA remove its Jupiter missiles from Turkey, which eventually also happened. Do you think it is fascinating to know of the secret meeting between Attorney General Robert Kennedy and Soviet Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Dobrynin, whereby the Soviet Ambassador was informed of this removal of missiles from Turkey but such an action was not allowed by USA to be part of the public resolution of what is now known as “The Cuban Missiles Crisis”? The summary of this event here is rather inadequate, but be careful of who you designate as heroes before you decide to pick a side. What really transpired requires reading declassified papers on this situation from archives of Russia and USA, and that is something which I would like to know one day.

The Wolfowitz Doctrine is crippling USA and the rest of the world, because it is ultimately about stagnancy and strangulation of humanity’s progress, subjugating the rest of the world for the sake of one country currently in significantly dangerous decline and sinking into problems so disturbing and divided that the world might be needed to save some Americans from other fellow Americans {196}.

The Cold War is over. The USA cannot remain the only superpower in the world. Russia, India, China and other countries determined to reach their full potential will not be constrained. There is only one way to do so, which is to undermine all other potential competitors and weaken allies into becoming indirect vassal states. And those who always benefit are military contractors.

But in doing so, our world suffers. Wars prevail. Many countries in Africa and the Middle East remain exploited or fail to achieve political and economic stability. Poverty and hunger are not adequately tackled. Geopolitics stays stagnant. Europeans can easily spend, to go to poorer countries for summer holidays. Can you say the same for people from countries such as Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos and Nigeria, affording holidays in Europe?

Tweets without references may seem inflammatory and akin to propaganda, such as statements about “Declassified CIA documents show strong ties between U.S. intelligence and Ukrainian nationalists since 1946.” {197}.

The CIA had established ties to Ukrainian Nationalist groups in order to oppose the Soviets, and it did not end well. “Op-Ed: The CIA Has Backed Ukrainian Insurgents Before. Let’s Learn From Those Mistakes” in Los Angeles Times by Jeff Rogg is a brave attempt to illuminate history, but falls on deaf ears in USA {198}.

Jeff Rogg is a historian focused on US Intelligence, and holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Intelligence and Security Studies at The Citadel to teach the history of intelligence and civil-military relations. He points out the history of the CIA selecting, funding, arming and/or training Ukrainian nationalist insurgents against the Soviets since 1949. And his sources of reference include Stepan Bandera as part of those insurgents recognized by the CIA, using declassified papers from the CIA {199}.

Material from the CIA alone is insufficient, despite being incredibly eye-opening. We need more declassified papers, such as “TOP SECRET” 18 August 1948 report by USA’s Director of Central Intelligence Sidney Souers to President Truman {200}. On the subject of the Ukraine and how certain actions would be akin to carving out parts of USA from within itself, you should read 62 pages of vital declassified history which also includes the work of fellow American citizens warning President Truman about the folly of trying to create or meddle with something which had no true history of independence in any field to begin with. I shall quote a tiny section from USA National Security Council Report 20/1 (ARC Identifier is 213875861) addressed to President Truman, about objectives related to Russia:

[ We would do well to beware of this conclusion. Its very simplicity condemns it in terms of eastern European realities. It is true that the Ukrainians have been unhappy under Russian rule and that something should be done to protect their position in future. But there are certain basic facts that must not be lost sight of… The Ukraine is not a clearly defined ethical or geographic concept. In general, the Ukrainian population made up of originally in large measure out of refugees from Russia and Polish despotism shades off imperceptibly into the Russian or Polish nationalities. There is no clear dividing line between Russia and the Ukraine, and it would be impossible to establish one. The cities in Ukrainian territory have been predominantly Russian and Jewish.

The real basis of “Ukrainianism” is feeling of “difference” produced by…

… The economy of the Ukraine is inextricably intertwined with that of Russia as a whole… To attempt to carve it out of the Russian economy and to set it up as something separate would be as artificial and as destructive as an attempt to separate the Corn Belt, including the Great Lakes Industrial area, from the economy of the United States. Furthermore, the people who speak the Ukrainian dialect have been split, like those who speak the white Russian dialect, by a division which in eastern Europe has always been the real mark of nationality: religion… If any border can be drawn in Ukraine, it should logically be the border between the areas which traditionally give religious allegiance to the Eastern Church and those who give it to the Church of Rome.]

Please read all pages of this document for yourself, especially if you claim to be Ukrainian or you saw someone posting this lone sentence from the report on social media stating “if an independent regime were to come into being on the territory of Ukraine through no doing of ours, we should not oppose it outright”. In 1948, USA intelligence experts understood the true context of the Ukraine and its chaotic nature, enough to write an extensive report of warning to President Truman.

If NATO or any USA administrations after President Truman have sought to undermine this reality mentioned in 1948, what is the reality of Ukraine’s economy up until January 2022 before Russia reacted to the circumstances of Ukraine on its border via this conflict?

Many public intellectuals and people working in intelligence hold hugely different views on various political topics, but a significant number of them mention the important primary unavoidable factor of NATO expansion by certain leaders while these leaders also ignored Russia’s NATO concerns, hence this constant reckless provocation and complete disrespect for Russia’s national security concerns over too many years is the primary aggressor factor for Russia’s reaction to Ukraine. These views stretch back more than 20 years, voiced by different people.

With further input from others wanting to share more references, Arnaud Bertrand added to his initial extensive compilation and for those of you who do not want to access Twitter, here is a selection of what he has compiled from texts and videos {201}:

George Kennan was hailed as the architect of Cold War strategy for USA and in 1998, he labeled NATO expansion as a tragic mistake making the founding fathers of USA turn over in their graves. He also labelled NATO expansion as “the beginning of a new Cold War” and “a lighthearted action by a Senate that has no real interest in foreign affairs” while labelling the Senate debate as “superficial” and “ill-informed”. He also claimed, “Don’t people understand? Our differences in the Cold War were with the Soviet Communist regime. We are now turning our backs on the very people who mounted the greatest bloodless revolution in history to remove that Soviet regime.”

Some people view Henry Kissinger as a warmonger who deserves very bad things happening to him. Regardless of what you think of him, he said Russia could never view Ukraine as just a foreign country, and Ukraine should not join NATO.

If you want to label John Mearsheimer a Russian shill, how about Jack F. Matlock Jr.? Arnaud Bertrand references this man who served as US Ambassador to the Soviet Union from 1987-1991, and quotes him as saying in 1997 about NATO expansion as “the most profound strategic blunder, [encouraging] a chain of events that could produce the most serious security threat […] since the Soviet Union collapsed”.

Do you like Bill Clinton? Arnaud Bertrand shared the exact reference and wrote, “This is Clinton’s defence secretary William Perry explaining in his memoir that to him NATO enlargement is the cause of “the rupture in relations with Russia” and that in 1996 he was so opposed to it that “in the strength of my conviction, I considered resigning”.

Arnaud Bertrand goes on to share videos and words from the likes of Noam Chomsky, Vladimir Pozner, Stephen Cohen, CIA Director Bill Burns, former USA Defense Secretary Bob Gates and more, to drive home the point of numerous professionals who know what they are talking about, with regards to NATO expansion eastward being a catastrophically stupid and reckless choice of aggression provoking Russia. Even if you can dismiss Noam Chomsky and John Mearsheimer, are you going to dismiss Australia’s former Prime Minister Paul Keating or former British Ambassador to Russia Sir Roderic Lyne? They know that pushing Ukraine into NATO is beyond stupid on every level and the best way of starting a war with Russia.

Go read the entire chain for yourself. Arnaud Bertrand cannot manufacture these views which originate from Australians and Americans, even if people destroying their journalistic credentials choose to label him as a propagandist for Russia. Look at original references. And please check out declassified papers. Could you be one of many ignorant people who is entirely unaware of the stupidity and recklessness rampantly obvious in the leadership of today’s Western countries, with regards to Ukraine and Russia? Such stupidity is explosively converting this problem into having global consequences.

Did you read the declassified papers in the National Archives of USA, revealing unavoidable history of assurances by so many Western leaders to Gorbachev {202}?

[ In case you missed why Russia drew it’s Red Line: “Declassified documents show security assurances against NATO expansion to Soviet leaders from Baker, Bush, Genscher, Kohl, Gates, Mitterrand, Thatcher, Hurd, Major, and Woerner” ] – Tweet from the account of Helga Zepp-La Rouche, founder of the Schiller Institute. See the link provided in her tweet.

Allain Juillet is the former Intelligence Director of DGSE when Jacques Chirac was President of France, his uncle Pierre Juillet was the mentor of Jacques Chirac, and the position of being Director of DGSE is equivalent to being the head of the French version of the CIA. He had plenty to say recently about this situation. His interview with Greg Tabibian of “J’suis pas” on Youtube is also illuminating, which you should consider watching {203}.

He claims the West has refused to ensure Ukraine’s governments honored the 2014 Minsk agreements, claims countries such as France have partial responsibility for this mess alongside other Western countries, and also mentions a promise made to Russia in the early 1990s being broken.

He claims during the time when French Foreign Minister Roland Dumas was involved with negotiations, everyone agreed “NATO would not expand East of reunified Germany”. But the Americans did not honor what they themselves said, and insisted on eastward NATO expansion, resulting in a total contradiction and betrayal of what was agreed with Russia’s leadership. Roland Dumas was Foreign Minister of France from 1984 to 1986, and also from 1988 to 1993.

He talks about the current problem in Ukraine being a continuation of what has been ongoing for 300 years, and mentions the provocation of Ukraine’s government prior to the events of 2014 Maidan, trying to officially remove the Russian language in Ukraine despite at least 40% of Ukraine’s population speaking Russian.

He also speaks of Nazism in Ukraine. In the interview, he also mentions the impossibility of speaking truth on official mainstream TV.

Allain Juillet has a lot to share, and what he says might help you understand why other former French Foreign Ministers such as Dominique de Villepin and Hubert Védrine have accused USA leadership being responsible for this mess. All former Foreign Ministers have access to information which the general public do not, and anyone who insists on blaming Russia solely and squarely for this situation? Please refute the stances and information which has inspired at least three former French Foreign Ministers laying the responsibility for this current mess at the doors of USA’s leadership with regards to certain administrations.

And if you want to hear what former French Foreign Minister Roland Dumas has to say about those negotiations where USSR was promised NATO would not expand eastward, see the details for yourself {204}.

Regardless of your profession or area of expertise, if you have not looked at or do not know how to find relevant declassified papers, have not searched for the views and explanations of politicians involved in confidential negotiations with Russia and USA regarding NATO expansion in the previous thirty years, do not know anything about the current extent of Nazism in Western Ukraine, and you are also ignorant of the ugly history of Ukraine’s revolutionary ultranationalists which encompasses Stepan Bandera, OUN-UPA and other Ukrainian Nazi-Germany collaborators during World War II?

Not being able to do all the above nor being able to refute at least 90% of this basic necessary summary of 39000+ words is where you now swallow humble pie, admit to being ignorant, admit to being wrong, and quietly learn about how wrong and ignorant you have been. It would help if you also admit online and offline where you have been wrong and ignorant, to anyone whom you have misled.

Have you ever wondered about what happens behind the scenes every day between countries, via communications and other mediums about all sort of issues which many citizens are not privy to? What exists in communications between the governments of Russia and USA? What does the reality of such communications reveal, depending on topic and context and period?

Why would Yeltsin and other Russians feel betrayed and disappointed by several figures in USA foreign policy with regards to NATO? What was happening behind the scenes? A series of letters from 1991 to 1997 between specific key figures, now declassified from certain archives, are essential reading. In July 2018, students of US-Russia history accessed declassified papers, thanks to historian Mary Sarotte’s request in 2015 {205}. In communications between Clinton & Yeltsin, some facts became evident, regardless of whether one despises or respects these men.

According to Document 16, 24 March 1999, as summarized by USA’s National Security Archives:

[ Just three and a half hours before the start of the NATO strikes on Belgrade, Clinton calls Yeltsin to inform him about the allied decision. Yeltsin is angry about not being consulted, either through the Russia-NATO Permanent Joint Council or through the Contact Group on Yugoslavia and he makes a last-ditch effort to stop the strikes… (Clinton gives an explanation)… But for Yeltsin, this is the red line—the newly expanded NATO, without going through the UN Security Council and over strong and consistent Russian objections, is about to bomb a Russian ally—and a personal humiliation, which would cost him dearly at home… The Russian president then pleads: “In the name of our future, in the name of you and me, in the name of the future of our countries, in the name of security in Europe, I ask you to renounce that strike,” and prophetically comments that “our people certainly from now have a bad attitude with regard to America and with NATO.”]

You should verify for yourself the claims of this Tweet, to decide if it has any relevance to the subject of naming military operations without labelling them as “war”: In Wesley Clark’s 2001 book “Waging Modern War”, NATO commanders in 1999 were ordered by political decision-makers not to officially label the 78-day bombing of Yugoslavia as “war” {206}.

Please read the documents for yourself. Look for more documents, and share with everyone else.

With regards to Yugoslavia, Chinese Ambassador Liu Xiaoming recently tweeted about US-NATO forces bombing Yugoslavia for 78 days without approval of the United Nations Security Council, using 420,000 bombs weighing 22000 tons {207}. Is the Chinese ambassador accurate on this topic, or spouting propaganda?

Do you now know why I choose to label the likes of C14, Azov and other Bandera-worshipping groups and individuals inspired by OUN and UPA and sharing their ideology as “revolutionary ultranationalists”? I could be wrong about trying to use such precise labels and if so, please educate me.

On 30 September 2016, Benjamin Cohen produced an article published in Foreign Policy, about Israeli President Reuven Rivlin’s speech publicly castigating Ukraine’s history in the killing of 1.5 million Jews on Ukrainian soil, in Ukraine {208}. He understood sordid criminal history of Ukraine’s role in the genocide of Jews, and he refused to dilute the truth.

“Many collaborators to the crimes were Ukrainians. And among them, the fighters of the OUN — who mocked the Jews, killed them, and in many cases handed them over to the Germans — particularly distinguished themselves.”

It is disheartening to note those who criticized Israel’s former President for doing so. Read that Foreign Policy Article, and take note of the people who criticized Reuven Rivlin for speaking truth. When you criticize everything you do not like as Soviet propaganda, you cannot be taken seriously. What they said was flabbergasting.

Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Joel Lion spoke of his shock on Facebook, seeing regional legislature in Western Ukraine’s Lvov officially declare 2019 as the year of marking the 110th anniversary of Stepan Bandera’s birth {209}. He could have been speaking into a vacuum, considering how many people today in many countries are willing to overlook the flourishing of Nazis in Ukraine.

Yuri Radchenki works in the Center for Research on Inter-Ethnic Relations in Eastern Europe, which is based in Kharkov. His paper “De-Mythologizing Bandera: Towards A Scholarly History of the Ukrainian Nationalist Movement” is insightful {210}. His knowledge of revolutionary ultranationalists Ustaša is the best parallel I have read, for Stepan Bandera’s OUN. Trying to create something which never existed, the parallels of OUN with that fascist movement are many, including passion for mayhem and grotesque crimes able to shock Nazi Germany. Yuri Radchenko also notes that no single scholarly biography of Stepan Bandera has ever been written in Ukraine, so the task falls to foreigners.

I would like to see a debate by Europeans professing to be experts in their fields who are also opining publicly about Ukraine versus Russia, and hear what they have to say about the paper titled “Why We Have Become Revolutionaries and Murderers: Radicalization, Terrorism and Fascism in the Ustaša-Croatian Revolutionary Organization”, published online on 7 June 2022 by Constantin Iordachi and Goran Miljan {211}.

Declassified letters are essential. Understanding how Western Ukrainian intellectuals view Russia and Ukraine as separate issues, and also understanding how Western Ukrainian intellectuals view Russia or Ukraine relative to Donbass will provide additional essential insight into a conflict which many people are too ignorant about before they opine, especially certain condescending and completely misguided attitudes of post-Soviet West Western Ukrainian intellectuals {212}. The almost-Darwinian mental attitudes of internal orientalization from certain intellectuals are not something to be proud of, especially if you classify yourself as humane and principled. Western Ukraine is the cancer within Ukraine that needs to be addressed.

Where do you think Ukraine’s former Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov obtained his inspiration from, when he composed a haiku and shared it on Twitter, mocking the victims of the Odessa massacre while supposedly using a classist-ethnic slur {213}?

There are many aspects to consider, and a book of details alongside accurate analysis would be necessary to summarize all that has happened this far. This article constitutes a bare minimum to help you, as you map your own process of evaluation and make your own decisions.

The basic minimum of what you need to fairly understand the current tragedy of Russia insisting on a military solution within Ukraine is the ability to identify relevant questions, research various issues and angles, and find sources in French, Russian, Ukrainian and other European languages which understand specific history and geopolitics and are also on the ground in Ukraine, whereby everyone who wants peace and justice for people in Eastern Ukraine as well as other Ukrainians is also committed to fairness towards Russia and Ukraine.

This article utilizes public accurate information available until Day 130 of the military conflict, which sees Russian military on behalf of the Russian government tackling a dangerous cancer of Nazism in Ukraine’s government and military and society while also trying to end crimes by Ukraine’s various governments against Russian-friendly Ukrainians outside Western Ukraine. A majority of Western governments deliberately ignore or are appallingly ignorant of this reality. As of this point, Russia’s government stands almost alone in this horrible battle of attrition and resources against Nazism, facing economic sanctions and other non-military weapons against its country and citizens for finally reaching a breaking point with regards to Ukraine and unable to ignore burgeoning evil within Ukraine.

The seeds of Ukrainian evil, which were not properly addressed and escaped when Germany’s Third Reich was defeated decades ago, must now be located and uprooted. To help fix Ukraine and be fair to Russia while ending years of persecution by Western Ukrainian leadership towards Ukrainians who refuse to comply or agree with their ideology of honoring Bandera and his fascist antisemitic collaborators, nothing less than the detention or neutralization of all military armed Nazism-honoring elements in Ukraine must happen.

Ordinary Ukrainians are suffering, used as pawns by people who care nothing for their welfare. Leadership in the West is also a failure on this issue, and leaders of other countries must not follow or adapt the faults and flaws. It is time for leadership to be demonstrated by other countries, to enable the West to learn and change course on their disastrous trajectory, especially the leadership within Europe akin to a black hole at this point when considering sovereignty and needs of respective citizens in your countries.

If you wish to refute this preliminary conclusion, you simply need to debunk the context and contents of more than 90% of information summarized here, and I once again invite you to do so.

This article does not invalidate security concerns of Russia’s neighboring countries. This article needs to show you how wrong and misinformed you can be, when what you rely upon has fundamentally and completely failed you, due to disinformation or misinformation. This article wants to illuminate the incredibly misleading or uninformative sources positioned as our media sources or mainstream expert sources of today in Western countries on such a critical issue, and a need for careful re-evaluation of everything which passes for official reality as reported via mainstream journalism or mainstream expert evaluation today in Western countries.

Victims in developing countries have less resources to cope with difficult circumstances, compared to victims in developed countries. A global economic disaster involving record inflation patterns must be addressed, and this also requires a fair solution to Russia and Ukraine’s current mess. An article published on 17 June 2022 titled “With scant options in Ukraine, US and allies prepare for war” in Washington Post is not helpful, because the misleading headline does not reflect the disastrous contents of the article {212}.

By this point, it is impossible for me to believe what is being reported about Putin’s invasion as evil and Russia being primarily responsible for Ukraine’s current situation, by many Western media sources. This Washington Post article disgusts me, and I am guessing the journalists writing this article are simply reporting what they have been informed to share. It has been archived here {213}.

Nobody with a conscience would choose to ignore the plight of Ukrainians across all parts of Ukraine and those who became refugees, to produce evil in a journalist article such as:

[ Even if that reality does not materialize immediately, officials have described the stakes of ensuring Russia cannot swallow up Ukraine — an outcome officials believe could embolden Putin to invade other neighbors or even strike out at NATO members — as so high that the administration is willing to countenance even a global recession and mounting hunger. ]

If what the Washington Post reports of the above statement is true, did the current USA administration ask the rest of the world, before deciding to encourage a global recession? Unlike badly-written or insufficiently adequate articles, this article also reminds me about the folly of existing organizations whereby people can make decisions from positions where they have no accountability to the public {214}.

[ “Ukrainians are ready to die for the European perspective,” European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen said. “We want them to live with us the European dream.” ]

That is an awful Tweet, from Ursula von der Leyen’s official blue-check account. Did the European Commission president ask Ukrainians? Did the leaders of USA or European countries or the European Commission President ask the World Food Program, which has reported today’s situation of the war and other circumstances pushing 44 million people closer to starvation? It is evil to claim that people of a foreign country should die on behalf of your country or your organization, when you never informed these people about the context to choose and leaders should make pragmatic ethical choices instead of sacrificing innocent people in a war of attrition.

If you have read everything up in this summary of more than 39000 words up to this point and perused actual references for yourself, how do you view the following section of the Washington Post article from 17 June 2022, and what you might attribute as intentions and extent of truth in the statements of the official?

[ “While it’s certainly challenging — we’re not certainly sugarcoating that — in terms of how to navigate these stormy waters, our guiding light is that the outcome of Russia being able to achieve its maximalist demands is really bad for the United States, really bad for our partners and allies, and really bad for the global community,” the State Department official said. ]

We need accountable unique leadership, to relieve the suffering of the masses. A paradigm shift in leadership is sorely lacking, but a globally beneficial solution encompassing that need while permanently altering this intolerable stagnancy of global and regional geopolitics might be possible.

I do not judge the journalism standards of the Washington Post for this article. This article on Washington Post was understandably coming at a difficult time for the media outlet, given the amount of infighting, Twitter-overloading and unnecessary unprofessional drama which at least one of its journalists saw no issues with publicly airing while throwing numerous massive tantrums, over several days. The entire fiasco started on 1 June 2022 and eventually resulted in the journalist being fired for her infantile unprofessional behavior.

Some people might classify her pattern of choices in this matter as awful and hilariously inane, and anybody with their pulse on certain matters would know said journalist had crossed too many lines because she garnered no sympathy from The View panel comprising the likes of Whoopi Goldberg. As of 9 June, her grinding of many embarrassing axes exasperated another lady on The View. Bill Maher felt inspired to comment about it in his HBO TV segment which aired on 17 June and was aptly titled “Democracy Dies In Dumbness” {215}.

Bill Maher was also wondering how the Washington Post currently handles any stories. If he finally has enough awareness to ask this question now, he might want to ask himself why he was not astute enough in asking this question about many USA media outlets at least 20 years ago.

What relevance does a Bill Maher segment of light-hearted comedy have, in this summary? This summary is very heavy reading and understandably very difficult for some people to handle, given their grievances for what they are suffering. For those who are not as burdened, a moment of respite can be considered as necessary, and a reminder is necessary here that it is not always fair or accurate to attribute articles viewed negatively as due to heinous intentions and/or faults of the journalist or media outlet.

On a completely unrelated side note, I disagree with the death sentence for Aiden Aslin, Shaun Pinner and Saadun Brahim, handed down by the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic. A death sentence in this outcome would mean they face a firing squad. We need to know fine details, official definitions and correlating evidence for the official statuses of these men and the process of determining their sentencing. Are any of these men dual citizens? How are they defined as “mercenaries” and not POWs? Is previous history also included in the sentencing, such as Aiden Aslin fighting in Syria for the YPG? Is such history actually relevant and if so, how?

A justified sentencing for each man will require much more than a deleted tweet from Aiden Aslin’s social media account, whereby the people running his social media account posted that tweet on 28 February 2022 stating they will be running his Twitter account so Aiden Aslin can concentrate on killing Russians {216}. Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner joined Ukraine’s military in 2018. There are also pro-Russian individuals wondering whether Aiden Aslin realized what he was doing, and whether he was an unfortunate victim of developmental circumstances {217}.

There are pro-Russian individuals who can acknowledge the work of others whom they claim as “NATO-biased but do good work” and can advocate for supporting those they disagree with. “And whatever divides us – we both were soldiers and know that after a war peace can only be achieved if we try to understand the other side” is an important sentiment and truth, reminding all of you that regardless of whether you label someone as pro-Ukraine or pro-Russian, what matters is how a person evaluates and attempts to understand others without dishonest aims while attempting to balance their own bias for truth {218}. Are there pro-Ukrainian individuals also doing the same for those they consider to be on the opposing side, which I am not aware of? I would like to know, and share.

If I wanted to bludgeon you into sharply realizing your ignorance, I would first present certain declassified papers from history, present numerous sources over the past 30 years citing the aggression of NATO expansion being a red line while ignoring Russia’s concerns, present Dolinsky’s Twitter timeline and Facebook timeline, present illuminating truths voiced by C14’s Yevgeny Vasilyevich Karas during this year’s February 2022 Bandera readings at the Maidan Museum, proceed to present everything else here with a very different tone and in a different order, and then finish with rudely-condescending labels scolding everyone more ignorant than me. Your ego would be thoroughly shredded, and your indignation reaching pressure levels enough to burst minor blood vessels.

But what would that achieve? How I gather, dissect and weave knowledge is different from the methods of many people. I acknowledge the need for a gradual approach which most people will prefer to take, because you are more uncertain and prone to errors. This article was somewhat challenging and tedious for me to create and evaluate and finetune, but not difficult for me to do so. And I classify this article as a basic summary. Which of you can produce similar results and label your efforts as such, accordingly?

If you realize that you have unwittingly done an Adam Kinzinger at any time when it comes to spreading propaganda or misinformation for Ukraine (such as mistakenly sharing a picture of Sam Hyde as the Ghost of Kiev who never existed), you need to pause and re-evaluate what you have been led to believe and the sources you have been relying upon {219}. The choices of Democrats and Republicans in Congress relative to the Ukrainian government have been anything but intelligent.

What I want to do is encourage people to pause, to listen, do your own research, and then talk to each other and ask more questions. The components of properly pausing, listening, and doing research is something clearly lacking in too many traditional media sources and on social media. This process is absolutely necessary when leaders of countries are involved. The likes of Olaf Scholz need to remember their position as leader of a sovereign country, not a vassal state of a foreign country.

If you forget that you are accountable to your citizens and do not make wise decisions for the future of your country and Europe, then do not be surprised when you have unsatisfactory results in subsequent elections. I strongly recommend you look up the definition of “Gaullism”, when an individual understood the importance of a free and unaligned country while respecting the geopolitical and geographic reality of the region affecting the country you serve.

Dear Europeans, Russia is an integral part of Europe and Asia. USA is not an integral part of Europe or Asia. Leaders of European countries, stop fueling the Wolfowitz Doctrine, which is foreign to every country except USA. This doctrine belongs in the dustbin of history. Stop shoehorning Russia into unsavory alliances which are only detrimental to your positions and partnerships. Stop being short-sighted and stupid. Your predecessors have encouraged a poisonous imbalance for decades, and you are now reaping results which wiser leadership over the previous 30 years would have minimized. Balancing and rectification of this disastrous situation is not impossible, but you need a paradigm shift in geopolitics.

To achieve actual lasting world peace, we need to eventually achieve a target of success in geopolitics where superpowers such as USA, China and Russia can choose not to interfere with nor bully smaller countries in any fields, such as raw materials or technology or trade or health. That will require a change where applicable, such as standardizing protocols for all biological research laboratories worldwide while protecting the sovereignty of such laboratories with a legal basis of safeguarding health of local citizenry where the laboratories are located, ensure all countries officially sign an agreement about chemical weapons, and military bases are the result of a sovereign country owning those bases and agreeing to allow a foreign entity to work mutually but without the foreign entity having any rights to control or dictate primary aims of the sovereign country.

People with passports from North America and Western Europe: People outside your regions are angry, upset, and beyond exasperated with the impact of decisions from your leaders unfairly affecting many people outside your countries. Your elective decisions about who makes political decisions in your country impacts us. Can you please hunt down all your declassified papers and face horrific unavoidable history of your intelligence operations affecting many countries, instead of running away from what is available by turning to fiction books and Netflix?

On this issue of Russia and Ukraine locked in unfortunate military chaos, when people from your countries tend to dominate social media, you are smart only if you realize that you need to be correctly informed before you contribute to the polarized state of rhetoric seemingly inherited from certain aspects of media or experts in the public eye from your countries. If you reckon any media sources in your country lack nuances for objective communication, do you think it is also reflected by your politicians?

Do you think you need to ask yourself why your media or some experts seem inept at fostering objective reporting or nuanced mature connective communication? Do you think you are being presented with any propaganda and if so, what are the sources and why? Have you understood the depth of your ignorance, after reading this article which pruned at least forty sources from the original final draft because all of it jammed into this article of more than 39,000 words might be too much for you to absorb?

There are intelligent discussions to be had online. There are intelligent people online who can maintain civilized discourse, and have been kind enough to engage with me.

“This all started with the bolsheviks, they started ukrainization of Russian people when they came to power and they openly wrote about it in newspaper of the 1920s. Bolsheviks were anti-Russian, anti-Christian separatists and butchers,” tweeted someone named Urban Haiti Sightseeing. He also shared old newspaper clippings {220}.

Irkutyanin added his own views, stating, “It’s a topic too large for a single Twitter post, but there probably wouldn’t have been a fully independent Ukraine without the RSDP-b, Brest Litovsk, the larger Social Democratic movements in the Russian Empire outside of Bolshevism and Menshevism, and 19th C Ukrainianism.”

Senior Analyst J. Michael Waller is the Senior Analyst for Strategy at the Centre for Security Policy in Washington DC. I wish I could get my hands on the notes he has seen from a deceased researcher, but he was kind enough to share a bit of it publicly {221}. Germans, pay attention to the sordid history of your leaders against Russia.

[ Reading a researcher’s account of secret deals between the Reichswehr and the Bohsheviks. The documents, in the US National Archives, prove that the Bolsheviks were under operational German control as part of the price of Germany smuggling them from Switzerland to Russia in 1917.

January 12, 1918: German General Staff gave Trotsky a list of its “main candidates for re-election” to Communist Party Central Committee. They include German orders to Lenin for the Bolsheviks to elect Trotsky, Lenin, Zinoviev, Kamenev and others.

Trotsky answered to the German General Staff and the Reichsbank. The bank informed Trotsky it transferred 50 million gold rubles from Stockholm to fund the Red Guards, plus 5 million for capture of US war material sent to Imperial Russian military.

Much more. These aren’t footnoted and I don’t have access to the originals. I knew and trusted the researcher, the late Ralph de Toledano, one of America’s foremost experts on Communism and subversion. I will revisit these references later. ]

When I see a tweet about this mess, I wonder how many people want to change so much misleading information out there, but cannot do so.

“My father RIP was from Kiev, his family lived there since the 1600’s, and included Poles, Germans, Jews and western Ukrainians. They only ever referred to themselves as Russians… as that was the culture and language. This crazy nationalism that took hold has caused these rifts.” {222}

Some essential basic facts to remember, in whatever you read:

Sensational but misleading or mismatching headlines weaponize words to manipulate emotions. Articles which do not reflect comprehensive details carrying cautious analysis of one side or both sides are misleading, correctly identified as inexcusable manipulation to divide a population, regardless of good intentions or nefarious intentions. Lengthy articles do not necessarily translate into being reliable or objective. Censoring access to a news outlet cannot be condoned and inspires questions of unadmirable ulterior motives.

What has been summarized here is rudimentary basic essential knowledge for two topics, to make certain preliminary but reliable conclusions. This article has also been shaped by wordcount limitations and prudence, to avoid overwhelming a general population not accustomed to the degree of details summarized in specialized papers or articles. All sources referenced in this article are combined essential reading.

This article aims to be a reliable bridging gateway to prepare you to do your own research without being overwhelmed, should you choose to dive into a hugely-complicated topic. And if you do so, it is essential to map everything chronologically and/or topographically where applicable, or you will easily make erroneous conclusions.

If you use social media, it is foolish to only follow people whose views you completely agree with. The world is much bigger than Twitter, and the world is not an echo chamber. Twitter in itself is a bubble regardless of who you follow, and you would do well offline and online if you remember this fact. Follow a variety of views, and you will always be inspired with incisive questions and fact-checking. Questions for exploration with a clearly-discerning plan will have a bigger impact on determining outcomes, which is how I aim to analyze and investigate something. I do not subscribe to echo chambers. I observe sources who identify with a wide range of political leanings, including those I do not agree with. I draw the line at extremists, unless it is for research.

Based on what has been presented here, were you able to realize how strongly I felt during certain moments of research for this article, experiencing emotions ranging across various intensities to include anger, disgust, contempt and more? Sadness was the most regrettable emotion experienced across the course of this article because of all that has happened, which could have been prevented.

No matter what I experience, emotions and feelings never affect the mental and emotional clarity of doing my best to adhere to intellectual integrity and intellectual humility. Whatever I feel becomes fuel to passion I cannot forget: I wish to repay humanity for educating me. Humanity includes the people who worked hard to earn money to pay my parents as I grew up, parents and other adults who contributed to my education of experiences and more, the adults and children who will be affected and rescued by what I share, the families I wish to protect, the orphans who deserve so much more than what they now survive on, and future generations whose lives I aim to improve. In every country of our world.

I choose to make my emotions become ultimately rooted to this principle and goal of fairness, in order to avoid hypocrisy as much as possible, hence I will never be lost. I am not an expert. I am a common sense intellectual.

Leadership for our future generations is not about experts. Experts have an important role, but our world most desperately needs people as citizens being common sense intellectuals. Common sense intellectuals have their feet on the ground, their egos firmly in check, and their moral compasses grounded in intellectual integrity and intellectual humility to aid fellow humans. Such people are best-equipped to evaluate information, to discern if what they are facing is propaganda or facts, and carefully formulate strategies or approaches to tackle problems in a fairly nuanced manner.

Common sense intellectuals minimize drama created to manipulate emotions, understand the importance of patriotism, discern between the needs and rights of people in their country versus the goals of their politicians if the latter does not maintain their responsibilities of serving the public and being primarily beholden to the public, reject nationalism, will fight for the people of their country, reject morally corrupt or self-destructive leaders, and give appropriate backing to leaders who deserve such communal strength. All for the sake of future generations.

Common sense intellectuals have to rescue their governments. Sending your citizens into military operations require sufficient justification. Given the history of wars and disastrous foreign policy approaches devastating citizens of foreign countries while indulging self-sabotaging policies such as the Wolfowitz Doctrine, USA has become a country whereby citizens really need to rescue your country for your people.

Parents of USA, from California to San Francisco, your schools, relevant government agencies and non-government organizations could benefit from your continuous attention:

1) Please rectify your internal problems such as your schools and media outlets and choices of district attorneys, form committees or chat groups to directly communicate with other committees comprising parents of different political identities without depending on your media as intermediary.

2) Stop accepting foreign funding with strings attached when your schools are involved, and work on prioritizing the orphaned and unorphaned children of your country while still maintaining military needs and advanced technology for safeguarding national security needs of your country, in order to work fairly with allies without wrecking other countries.

3) Start working together to create detailed accountability towards citizens such as yourself, and stop wasting any taxpayer dollars that fund chaos or harm the health of people in other countries.

Many Americans online have a difficult time realizing the limits of their echo chambers, especially those on Twitter. Choosing to ignore and follow only what you prefer from your politically-affiliated peers does not translate into a reliable or intelligent grasp of history, context, reality and facts.  I will give you a hugely important example about the need to do what is ethically and professionally necessary, instead of blindly following your political preferences and hence being kept ignorant about what needs to be tackled.

Todd Shephard is the founder of news site “Complete Colorado”, spent 8 years as an investigative journalist at free market-based thinktank Independence Institute in Denver which leans libertarian, and is now the chief investigative journalist at nonprofit news and editorial outlet Broad + Liberty based in Philadelphia.

On 24 January 2017, Dan Njegomir for Colorado Politics published an article about an important situation in October 2016, and this issue should have been covered by media outlets such as CNN, Washington Post, New York Times and other mainstream media outlets in October 2016. Dan referenced Todd Shephard’s article published in Washington Examiner on 24 January 2017. Todd Shephard’s article should be published in media sources such as New York Times and Washington Post, but only the likes of Washington Examiner shared this vital article.

In the race for Colorado’s First Judicial District attorney of Jefferson and Gilpin counties, George Soros had poured 1.3 million dollars into the race against Republican Pete Weir. Hungarian-American George Soros has no personal connection to Colorado or other states of USA where these races are being held, so why is he pouring money into these races and backing certain candidates for positions of District Attorney?

Lifelong Democrat Bill Ritter was former governor of Colorado and former district attorney for Denver, and he came to the defense of Pete Weir. He wrote a detailed op-ed titled “George Soros is out of line to attack DA Pete Weir in his re-election bid” which was a blunt rebuke of the tactics by George Soros, labelling such an attempt as reckless and manipulative, while pointing out the need for justice to be elected based on the needs of the citizens in Colorado. This was published in Denver Post on 20 October 2016.

Bill Ritter was not the only Democrat defending Pete Weir’s record. Democrat Prosecutors for Colorado’s 10th and 20th Judicial Districts Jeff Chostner and Stan Garnett also came to the defense of Pete Weir, while bluntly rebuking George Soros in an op-ed published on 12 October 2016 in the Denver Post. “George Soros’ unwelcome intrusion into a Colorado district attorney race” was another professional rebuke to an outsider who had no legitimacy to be interfering in this field and state.

In contrast, Politico published an article on 30 August 2016 titled “George Soros’ quiet overhaul of the US justice system”. Would you deem it unprofessional and misleading, to use an inconclusive assumption as the title of an article, for an issue which needs extensive investigating and beyond the scope of one article? What would Bill Ritter, Jeff Chostner and Stan Garnett say about such an article?

Where was your USA mainstream media, with regards to questioning the motives of someone with no ties to various states of USA pouring money into backing certain candidates for such important races which affect the lives and deaths of American citizens? Reforms are important but when certain ideas are not intelligent and reform measures do not lead to necessary basic criminal prosecution to protect societies, cities and towns decay because criminals will become emboldened, and ordinary citizens are the first to suffer or die.

This is not about attacking the Jewish background of George Soros, and nothing to do with antisemitism. This is a legitimate domestic concern about America’s criminal justice systems across various states which should have been front page national news, because George Soros has no place meddling in these issues when he also has zero personal affiliation to these states and the justice system. Where was your mainstream media? Americans, do you think your mainstream media is serving your needs?

How about looking at the records of all current or former district attorneys directly or indirectly funded for their races by George Soros, evaluating how they have improved or harmed the lives of citizens with their decisions? Chesa Boudin of San Francisco, Robert Shuler Smith of Mississippi, George Gascon of Los Angeles, Alvin Braggs of Manhattan and Kim Foxx of Chicago are some of the candidates whose races benefitted from his input.

Are you refusing to read certain publications because of political affiliations, such as “How George Soros funded progressive ‘legal arsonist’ DAs behind US crime surge” by New York Post? Do you think an article published on 8 June 2022 by Daily Mail about groups backed by George Soros having spent at least 40 million dollars to elect 75 prosecutors is an important issue? Approximately 72 million people are currently affected, which is one in five Americans.

Americans, can you look past your identity politics with the principles and intelligence of fellow American professionals such as Bill Ritter, Stan Garnett, Jeff Chostner and Pete Weir in their field of justice? Or would you prefer to be kept ignorant and hence misled? You should read those op-eds, which are informative and ethical for all Americans. Which of your media outlets covered this issue, and which ones did not?

There are people living in countries outside USA who understand complex problems in USA without being blinded by your over-polarized identity politics and echo chambers, but who is going to tell Americans who think you know better, when you obviously don’t know or are misled? If you claim to live in the greatest country in the world, how can anyone outside USA believe your claims when you don’t know about the many problems plaguing your country and your media and your ability to communicate and understand your fellow citizens, while your fellow citizens urgently need your help?

How about talking to the families of victims such as Hirako Abe, mother of 27-year-old Hanako who was murdered in 2020 by repeat offender Troy McAlister on parole, after he hit her and Elizabeth Platt with a stolen car on New Year’s Eve in San Francisco?

Here is a binary obviously observed for certain issues on social media, typically reflective of people from Western Europe and North America opining on certain issues, regardless of skin color: People who are pro-Ukraine also tend to be pro-Israel and anti-China and pro-West to the point that they are ignorant or hypocritical about significant faults of their leaders and governments from their own countries. People who are pro-Russia tend to be pro-China and pro-Palestinian and anti-West everything. Both blanket approaches are monumentally stupid and lacking in sufficient nuances to anyone who has roots in Southeast Asia or East Asia, especially when that someone is not a fan of over-simplification and hypocrisy while understanding the 8 necessary stages of critical thinking.

Somewhere in these binaries are the unsurprising consequences of people who are unable to maintain consistency in the 8 stages of critical thinking. You have to evaluate your sources, which can be sloppy and hypocritical in reporting on one issue but meticulous when reporting on another issue. And you always have to verify.

If Al Jazeera publishes something in English, check the contents and style of the Arabic article on the same issue against what they publish in English. When it is coverage about Israel or Jews, Al Jazeera is an unreliable source. Did you see the program produced by Al Jazeera about Palestinian Liberation Front terrorist Samir Kuntar, who spent 29 years in an Israeli jail for murdering 5 Israelis?

On the night of 22 April 1979, 16-year-old Samir Kunta and his fellow criminals broke into the apartment complex of an Israeli family, and forcibly kidnapped a young father and his 4-year-old daughter. Samir Kunta took both of them to the nearby beach and in front of Danny’s daughter, shot Danny Haran in the back and to further traumatize the child of a Jew, he drowned her father underwater to ensure Danny’s death. After that, he murdered little Einat by smashing in her skull against rocks with the butt of his gun.

The only reason why Danny’s wife Smadar Haran and their 2-year-old daughter Yael did not suffer such monstrous outcomes was because Smadar was hiding in a space from the men who were ransacking their apartment. However, Smadar discovered hours later that Yael had accidentally suffocated to death in her arms, while Smadar was trying to quiet her whimpering. They had to be quiet or a grenade would be thrown into the space they were hiding, if the terrorists found them.

This monster Samir Kuntar, hailed as a hero in that Al Jazeera program while receiving a hero’s welcome of honor and celebration from other Jew haters after his release, labels Israel as a disease to be taken care of. Samir Kuntar never regretted destroying the family of Smadar Haran who had to live with his consequences of his evil, because his victims were Jews.

Read “The World Should Know What He Did To My Family” by Smadar Haran Kaiser, published in Washington Post on 18 May 2003. Do not turn away from evil that you never suffered, as Smadar speaks of the joy and hatred in the voices of the terrorists whom she knew would murder her husband and child, while firing their guns and throwing grenades. Do not turn away from her pain, as she speaks about the murders of her brave husband and their little daughter. Danny had helped Smadar, Yael and a neighbor hide in the crawl space above their bedroom, before the terrorists broke into their apartment.

Do not turn away from Smadar’s voice, as she speaks of her aim to have terrorist leader Abu Abbas prosecuted in USA after Abu Abbas and his fellow terrorists held hostage the passengers on Italian Cruise ship Achile Lauro for two days, to try and force the authorities to release fifty Jew-hating terrorists including Samir Kuntar. Smadar holds Abu Abbas responsible as the mastermind for the mission which destroyed her family while mentioning wheelchair-bound American Jew Leon Klinghoffer, who was shot and dumped overboard by the terrorists aiding Abu Abbas.

Whenever you see someone labelled as a “child” or “teenager” by Al Jazeera or other Al Jazeera devotees online alongside an innocent-looking picture when they report about Israelis killing a Palestinian, please check accurate context of why Israel’s officers or normal Israelis had to neutralize the Palestinian including relevant photos, such as any terrorist groups these Palestinians have joined and the weapons they were wielding when they initiated any attacks to try and murder Israelis, including guns or knives or both. More often than not after you constantly do fact-checking, you will realize the unreliability and demonization in Al Jazeera’s reporting about Israel or Jews. On other issues reported by Al Jazeera, do your own research.

USA mainstream media is more exhausting than Al Jazeera because the standard of purported journalism does not match the needs of the citizens, and one has to peruse a wide variety of outlets to create a reliable preliminary summary of any sort, for complex issues. I am not anti-Russia or anti-USA. I am anti-lazy when it comes to opining loudly and constantly on issues such as Israel or Russia and Ukraine, because the consequences of such laziness in critical thinking is apparent on social media such as Twitter.

We are evaluating governments and systems, we need to raise issues, and citizens generally should not be faulted as representatives for their governments, even if some of these citizens voted in certain people leading to choices made by such governments.

The hatred of Jews and antisemitism based on extreme ideas has widespread lasting consequences in other fields and issues to this day, which many of you remain unaware of. Articles 1, 2 and 5 on this website will help 99% of our current world population realize some basics of important roots with regards to the folly of antisemitism which has to be tackled as soon as possible, in order to improve the lives of fellow citizens in your country in many areas and also improve our world as a whole.

Looking away from the USA, in this situation of evaluating the choices of Putin’s government and Zelensky’s government, can you argue for or against everything I have collated as basic necessary facts and knowledge? Or would you prefer to try to attack me using identity politics which has no relevance, because I cannot fit into your typical stereotypes for race and politics? If you do so, then you prove that you cannot refute what I have shared in this summary, and it is time for you to acknowledge your mistake and ignorance.

It is exhausting to keep up with the tragedy of Russia and Ukraine locked in armed conflict, because there are always massive disparities between the narratives and supporters from both sides. As to what parts of which narrative is accurate after July 2022, it may require at least an entire year until July 2023 to truly realize accuracy.

Meanwhile, Ukrainians and Russians will have to suffer the greatest consequences due to circumstances not of their choosing, and that unavoidable knowledge brings me sorrow. How do we come to a solution to truly and fairly help Ukraine and Russia?

Global systems or organizations with a global reach which do not respect safeguards for rights of citizens, allowing governments to “othernize” and ostracize citizens completely from society and the economy simply for disagreeing, must be rejected or fundamentally reformed. There is nothing progressive, honorable or humane about disingenuous manipulation and totalitarian oppression by a privileged few towards the many.

Whether you identify as a global citizen, a liberal, a conservative, rightwing, leftwing- Language and labels in parts of media within Western Europe and the two biggest countries in North America have been overly weaponized, which also divides people within those societies without the understanding of the people.

People living outside these regions must not adopt self-destructive inflammatory divisive language politics or identity politics or education policies or foreign policy ideas from those regions. We must reshape or refute the poisonous ideas which are distorting our effectiveness in communication.

We need to clearly define values without manipulative language and without propaganda, which I have expressed throughout this article to fully illustrate the values of a common sense intellectual. We constitute more than 82% of the global population. If governments ruling a population minority of the world in the regions of Western Europe and North America do not wish to stop self-destructive policies which harm their citizens living there and ultimately foreigners such as ourselves, then we outside their countries must not adopt or repeat their mistakes, while working on our defenses and collaborative options to neutralize their mistakes.

You can be a farmer, shopkeeper, housewife, activist, chef, soldier, social service worker, therapist, civil servant, actor, driver, waitress, or any other profession, and still be a common sense intellectual. You will still disagree on matters, sometimes coolly and sometimes furiously, but disagreements will be patiently constructive and much less destructive to bonds of friendship and family and society. This achievement protecting your individualism while laying foundations for you to decide how you help create and foster a harmonious society can exist, without needing to obtain a bachelor’s degree. I aim to pave the way for our future, and the 5 articles on this website will be timeless anchors to aid education of character and thinking.

If you do not understand the importance of evaluation and verification, then you must learn. We can improve together.

Are you now ready to read the remaining three articles, especially the final article? The final article is the first essential step to start irreversibly improving many issues in many countries of our world while also initiating a chain reaction of facing and starting to resolve other problems to be solved. This will happen, once you realize what you do not know and when you finally choose to do what is rightfully fair, based on intellectual integrity and intellectual humility.
